Not Suitable For Electric And
We had the original dry fry pan growing up and thought this would be a good enough copy but it dissapoints in so many ways. The first lot all had faults and the company were fantastic at arranging a replacment that I thought I would still take the 3 I had ordered. I have now tried it out and here is what i think:1. The design makes it unsuable on electric cookers: the only contact with my electric surface are the 3 tiny feet (~.0.5cm ea) designed into the indent in the middle of the pan (the oil catcher) This meant in order to heat up the pan I had to turn the hob up way past what I normally use and for much longer (see below) (One of the advantages of the original pan was that it required lower heat settings).2. Due to the almost none existing contact with the cooker surface, it took so long to heat the pan: and since over 95% of the hob was not in contact with the pan, the time it took to heat the pan meant instead of 'frying' I ended up with overcooked soggy food, and the hob was glowing red by the end which I don't think is good plus it is wasted electricity.3. The glass lid makes a rattling noise as if there is broken glass inside the rim. The lid seems ok but it makes me wonder about the quality control. I have several older glass lids thtat have been used for years and none make this rattling broken glass noise.4. The lid is too loose and not the tight fit other pots haveI had been looking for the original swiss dry fry pan and got all excited when I saw this, this has been an expensive and huge let down.

It is good value for money & the quality is reasonable
We have now used our Harbenware dry fry pan and it cooks very well with only a low gas flame needed. We used one of these for very many years in our caravan, until, with use, the coating started to fail. We had a job to find a replacement until this came along. It is good value for money & the quality is reasonable, but not quite as robust as our original. It will definitely same you money on gas as pies, chips etc can be put in it, instead of the oven. I have not tried it on an electric cooker.

Just about ok
Okay, needs experimentation to find how best to use it. Low gas is obviously the way. Best for steaming and no good for frying though, burns the food to try to fry it.

Excellent product
Excellent product. It helps you cook healthy meals very quickly. You can even bake potatoes in it. ( use smaller potatoes and cut them in half). If you want to fry something, you need very little oil.

but this one is better as it has a glass lid
This pan is an old friend. I've use my previous one for many years , the handle was damaged while moving house, but this one is better as it has a glass lid

I'm very satisfied with the pan
I'm very satisfied with the pan.I was sceptic about it's quality because of previous reviews but I can say that the pan is of good quality, I'm using it mainly for cooking meat and vegetable and does the job for me. Recommended.

Not fit for use
Not fit for use as the handle melted on the second time of use. Similar to the original but lid was originally shiny and aluminium.
