Domination (Explicitly Yours Book 2)

The soap opera continues.
I didn't like this book as much as the first. The best part was the last few pages, when Lola discovers what Beau's plan had been all along. An injured ego required revenge.Since I feel books should be able to stand on there own (not require more books to be bought to find out what happens to the characters one has been following) I don't intend to buy the last two books.I read several reviews of the last two books and was able to determine what the basic outcome was for Beau and Lola. So thanks to those reviewers for saving me $7.98 and a few hours of my time.

LOVE
Night Call is book 2 in the Night Fever Serial. I have now finished the entire serial and have told all my friends how much I loved it. Night Fever (Book 1) had some elements of the story I was on the fence about (I’m not always a fan of the controlling man) and I knew going in that these were books that would be out of the box for me and I am so glad I took the chance on them.Night Call deserves more than 5 stars. Jessica did a supreme job of writing a story that kept you wanting more. The characters were relatable even in a story of extremes. Lola was easy to route for and one fierce lady. It’s an edgy story with no clear black and white storylines, decisions, morals, or question of character. Forget the saying of there is a whole lot of grey. There was grey, green, fuchsia…a whole rainbow between that black and white. The indecent proposal element, decisions made by characters, and the effects within people of excess and absence of money definitely makes me question what I knew. The Night Fever Serial Makes you think about what you would do when faced with extreme decisions and how you would handle the way the people in your life also handle those decisions. Through out reading you question how you feel about the decisions the characters make. Whether you agree with their choices it definitely gets your thoughts stirring. I have found myself in conversations about how I feel about the storyline and plot each and every time I have recommended these books to a friend. The entire serial but for me, especially Night Call was filled with secrets and shockers. UNDERSTATEMENT of the year! I think my jaw fell wide open and stayed hanging there for the entire last chapter of Night Call. I don’t know what I would have done if each book wasn’t already ready for me to dive into. I very well may have thrown my kindle across the room if I would have had to wait to see what happened next. I was beyond shocked and I always like when an author can pull the wool over my eyes.During Night Call Johnny drove the nail into his coffin, for me. During Night Fever I could easily find arguments both for and against the decisions he made but that ended for me in book 2 and I most definitely yelled at my kindle condemning him a few times. He never stood a chance against Beau in MY eyes but during Night Fever I sympathized with him a bit. Nope, not anymore! But I guess that once again brings us back to the fact that this serial will make you think and I’d like to find one person that couldn’t form a strong opinion about at least one thing within the story.I’d like to revisit something I said in my review of Night Fever. I told you all that, “the theme of love was not the prevailing aspect within the story. But it is there; sometimes hidden and sometimes misguided.” Well in Night Call love becomes more prevalent in the storyline. I’m not saying it is now suddenly a lovey-dovey romance but the aspect and idea of love comes more into the foreground; just still wrapped in the mystery and suspense. So I’ve sung my praises. Did you all get the fact that I LOVED this book?! I hope so and I hope that you will at least check out these books to see if it could be something you would love too. This isn’t your typical ‘girl meets boy and boy and girl fall in love’ story. It’s so much more and that is a big part of what I believe makes it so great.

Oh Beau!
Ask yourself this: "If you spent one incredible, life-altering moment with a stranger, then had to let it go and return to normal with your boyfriend, would you be able to forget and move on?"Answer? = If that life-altering moment was with Beau Oliver? HELL NO!Book Cover: 4/5Book Summary: 4.5/5Book Turnout: 4.5/5And now, the fangirling continues..So this is part 2 of the Night Fever serial by the lovely Miss Jessica Hawkins.Night Call picked up right where Night Fever left off, with Lola trying to adjust to life after Beau, but unable to forget about it/him. Beau made an imprint on her heart, her body; one that can't just be erased. Things with Johnny are awkward, Lola is confused, and then life gets more complicated when they realize purchasing Hey Joe's is a lot harder than originally planned; in fact, they're still short on money... And we all know who doesn't have that problem...All it takes is one phone call, and Beau is back on Lola's mind and... well, on her body. But it's different this time. Feelings, emotions, wants, needs, desires... these things cannot be ignored. They cannot be muted. They cannot be walked away from.I love the passion and intensity between Lola and Beau, I really do. It's spark-igniting, turns and twisted delight...And speaking of turns and twists, holy braincluster, batman! Was not expecting those twists at the end!! But again, that's why I love Jessica Hawkin's books. She knows exactly what she's doing and she does it well, so I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the ride to the end.I know it's going to be fabulous.BONUS:Here's a link to the teaser sample of the Night Fever fanvid I am working on, because I love it:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26U5W...--CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!--You can find more of my reviews:- Behind The Words Reviews.- Goodreads- Amazon.com- (if ARC) at NetGalley.

Dramaaaaa
Beau has offered Lola a second deal. Same terms as before, same payout as before. She’s already reeling from their one night together and things between her and Johnny are understandably rocky.Johnny seems to be solely focused on the money so when she mentions Beau’s second offer, Johnny doesn’t really try to tell her no. Doesn’t fight for her and what it could do to their relationship. Will they survive another night? Or will Beau sneak into her heart as well as her body?Oh my god. This story is such convoluted insanity and I just can’t stop reading it! I’m fully sucked into the drama. Lola and Beau are well suited but actually quite toxic. And so petty!I can understand Lola’s pettiness at the end but Beau? Honestly, his big secret is just so childish. Talk about insecure! And yet their moment at the gas station was so real, so raw, and so touching.I really hope they can get their act together soon but I know there are four books in the series so it could take a while. Onto book 3!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Explicitly Yours is addictive. I read the first 2 books in one evening. Jessica's writing style continues to impress, the descriptive work is the perfect amount to leave the story vividly behind in your minds eye. Domination has a few very unexpected twists and turns that have left me reeling and eager to know more.*** Book details, spoilers ahead ***I don't like Johnny, simple as, the man could walk on water and I'd still dislike him because of his decisions or lack of and his willingness to use her and make it seem like he's making a sacrifice.Lola continues to surprise. Her inner fight between what's right and wrong also her attempt to fight her feelings, it all feels real. Despite the short timeline it doesn't feel rushed which comes down to how Jessica has written the story.Beau, well I knew he was hiding something and I knew it had something to do with the strip club but holy heck, I felt like someone was after slapping me when that bombshell was revealed, I had to back track and read it a few times to make sure I wasn't imagining things. The fact that he's gone through all this because he couldn't get what he wanted irks me. I want to shake him but I also don't, it's madness but I think he feels for her.I cannot wait to read the third book to see what unfolds, though I'm usually good at picking up on plots I genuinely have no idea where this is going. I love it.

A great story, well worth the read
Continuing from where the first book left off, the unfolding story of Lola, Beau and Johnny has some unexpected twists. There are definite comparisons to be drawn with 'indecent proposal' but I reckon this series is better. What seemed like a simple proposition from a man with more money than possibly sense, is turning into a far more complex situation and not necessarily for the reasons you might expect. On to the next book without delay.

Part of a book
Book is a quite good story. Predictable and a copy of indecent proposal but I enjoyed the story just hate that you only get part of a book. This story is split over four books and even though the first is free it become expensive to finish the story which puts me off finishing the story

Good Book
Beau and Lola are a good couple but damn if they do so many bad things to exact revenge on each other. Just knowing they are deliberately hurting the other for how they have behaved towards one another
