Buy An Enchanted Christmas: A Regency Collection by Metzger, Barbara from desertcart's Fiction Books Store. Everyday low prices on a huge range of new releases and classic fiction. Review: "Home for Hannah" and "Wooing the Wolf" the best of the Package - I'm trying to buy and read all the Metzer books I've not previously read. I occasionally enjoy reading collections of short stories, especially the Christmas variety. My favorites among these five stories were: A "Home for Hannah" about a young orphan who decided to find her own "papa" when she overheard the evil brother and sister - owners of the orphanage in which she lived, discuss turning her out. I also enjoyed "Wooing the Wolf" - a rakeful bachelor who had to return home during the holidays to rusticate after one of his lady friends decided to claw his face up. What he found upon his arrival home was very unexpected, but loads of fun. I particularly loved the way he was always yelling and getting up in the boughs only to come back down to earth and be his gentlemanly self. Review: As the title hints, the stars in this collection all have a bit of magic, beyond that expected of Christmas. I could wish for more variety in the traditions, but I suppose that Metzger is a romance writer, not a folklorist. It was a nice selection of ghosts and wizards and wishes. And happy endings and Christmases.

The reader should decide the question. Personally, I love Barbara Metzger's romances for the touch of whimsy she adds in with star-crossed ghosts, hidden treasures, lucky golden coins and always, the charming hero and heroine!

A wonderful collection of imaginative stories surrounding tales of love and Christmas. Great for losing yourself in another world and another time with an imaginative and capable writer who knows how to create winning characters and involving situations.

If, like myself, you tried to purchase every print version of Christmas short stories set in Regency from the ladies like Barbara Metzger and Edith Layton, Carla Kelly and Sandra Heath…BUY THIS SET! I grant you there may he one story you have read already. But I find it worth every penny to have the marvelous works of the Regency in Christmas by the best of the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s authors at your fingers in digital form. I mean it’s hard for me to choose which hard cover book to travel with as is and quite frankly THAT is the reason i love having these works available on Kindle. I shall always love hard copy books at home but some days and for real life having electronic is great. Editing is super and it IS clean Regency here. But it is still sweet Holydays Season reading.

I was laughing, smiling, awing, and sighing all the way through these stories. I'm sorry they're over. From the funny ghost story, to sweet little Hannah finding her "Papa," to poor, earnest Sir Adam getting lucky, to a story that should satisfy the most demanding of fairy-tale lovers. And then came the icing on all these treats..."Wooing the Wolf." I loved that story! Loved it! I think this is the most perfect collection of Christmas stories I've ever read. There's something lovely for everyone. You won't be sorry.....you'll feel happy:) Enjoy your reading! :)
