HMS Surprise Tall Ship, 14"

This ship fit nicely on my entertainment center. The detail is great and the ship is nice looking - see picture.

It's supposed to be the HMS Surprise but was labeled HMS Victory

For the money it looks great above my entertainment center with other small ships and nautical replica cannons. It's not true to detail but that's why it is above my entertainment center where true detail is not needed. You will never get a real accurate detailed model ship for this price. This is basically a blank design with sails and colors that make it look similar to the real ship. Other named ships will look the exact same with just different colors and different sails.

I ordered the HMS Surprise for my husband. However, what came was the HMS Victory. The ship itself looks the same, but the name plate is different. I specifically wanted the Surprise because my husband loves the Master and Commander books, of which the Surprise is prominent. So I am a bit disappointed with this mix up. I have opted to not return or exchange it, however because it is the holidays, a new ship is not likely to arrive in time for Christmas. It may be just a nameplate to some, but to me that was an important feature. The ship itself is well made and it arrived in perfect condition. The only issue I have is with the name plate mix up.

I'm giving this review five stars because I knew what to expect when it arrived. There was no damage, so, no complaints.
