You have to read both great books
Another great book. At the end of Every Shattered Thing, Stephanie runs away from her home, freeing herself from her abusive father and leaves Kevin behind after she is devastated by his betrayal. Looking for a fresh start where no one knows her, she lands a job at a coffee shop where she becomes friends with 2 people, lives in a hotel, and tries to forget her past while her father’s voice in her head whispers poison to her.

Deep
This is one of those unusual book that tells a really compelling story having the potential to leave a profound personal impact. Stephanie is a truly compelling and complex character and her story is told with all the twist and unpredictability of a true to life drama. This character truly belongs in a book and I have no doubt there is room for her in quite a few more.

Wow!! You have to read Every Shattered Things before you read this book. I will not go into how good these books were other than to say I read both books in two days. Two very awesome books, I'm happy to have read!

refreshing!
Thank you for another late night. I could not put down, also thank you for having this "Gem" in the rough. I was losing faith in authors this month, I found this via a goodreads recommendation and thank fGoodness! Excellent writing! The poetry portrayed by character comes through your writing many highlights over here...

Read this book
Really good follow up to Every Shattered Thing. I read it in one day, which I rarely do. The formatting was a little wonky and made it tricky in spots to keep track of who was talking.

Even Better Than The First Book!
I didn't know Elora Ramirez's writing could get any better than Every Shattered Thing, but somehow she managed to outdo herself with this one. Ramirez is a fantastic writer whose work just keeps getting even more amazing with every new work she releases. Somewhere Between Water and Sky is one of the best sequels I've ever read, and Stephanie is a character who stays with you long after the last page. This is a story of beauty and darkness and hope that will haunt and inspire you. Ramirez is a writer of wonderful talent and promise. I can't wait for this series to be turned into movies.

Beautiful
I really, really liked the prequel, Every Shattered Thing, but I absolutely loved this book. The growth, strength & beauty in this messy, scary story is breathtaking. The writing is beautiful and descriptive to the point of transplanting you right in the scene. Definitely recommend this book.

Strong Characters, Beautiful Writing, Amazing Story
I loved Elora Ramirez's first book, Every Shattered Thing, but if it's possible, I think I loved Somewhere Between Water and Sky even more. There is the right amount of tension and suspense, and a satisfying ending, but the depth of the characters in this books was extraordinary. You will fall madly in love with Jessa and wish you could have her in your life. There is so much hope in this story, and the writing is so beautiful. Elora does a masterful job using the California backdrop to allow her poetic style of writing shine. I could see every image so clearly. I got to the end, and just wanted more.

Opinion
It's a great book, intriguing and exciting. Unfortunately, there are some orthographic mistakes that make reading the book annoying and it could be confusing for people who are learning English, an example of this would be "hangry" instead of "hungry".Apart from the that, the story is a good continuation to the first book and a very good way to raise awareness about human trafficking.
