ZOOM-ABLE! Coffee Mug in the Shape of Nikon 24-70 Lens, Interior is Stainless

Looks real but a terrible cup
Sure, this coffee mug looks real. Very real, accurate down to the smallest detail. But after being impressed with the looks what really matters is how does it function as a device for drinking. Well, it's pretty bad. The lens "cap" looks like it has the flip lids of a travel mug. But they don't flip. To drink you need to screw the entire top off, eliminating the use in the car, or even for keeping your beverage hot. The threads on the screw-top make drinking difficult. It is more like a joke store drippy cup. If you want a novelty, ok but don't expect to enjoy a cup of coffee from this.

Not for the coffee drinker...
I've never, ever purchased a coffee mug whose lid could not be used (you have to take the lid off to use it...making it pretty worthless as a travel mug). The zoomable feature is ok (be advised it doesn't add any more room to the interior which doesn't have a lot of room to begin with). The pictures ARE misleading...it is a Nican mug instead of Nikon mug (not really a big deal other than it would be nice to post accurate pictures). All in all, if you are looking for a decent travel mug that also tells the world that you love photography...don't choose this one. I'm sure there are less expensive "lens" mugs that don't have to have the cap taken off to use them.

Only One Tiny Problem
I wish I could give this thing 5 stars, I really really do. It's freaking adorable, my perfect serving size for coffee and other drinks, and goes with my profession ;) This thing is so realistic, my sister called me in a panic asking if I had left my lens at her house and that I'd probably need it. I said "No, that'd be my coffee, but yes! I NEED IT! hahaha...Now to the little tiny problem. This is really no huge deal, but the sealant between the plastic and the metal is not tight. When I wash it, I can wait two to three days before having another cup of coffee and while I pour the hot liquid in my mouth, the old, cold water used to clean it comes in with it, a couple of drops at a time. After a few times of washing, I have also noticed that if I don't sip on it with what I call "tiny lips", the coffee that flows past the threshold comes back at me as I pull away, giving my "drippy chin"....But honestly, I don't care too much anymore lol. I get too many "oh my god, so cute" comments that i don't care if I have to answer them "thank you" with a mouth and chin full of coffee. :)

It Leaks !
I was excited to finally get to give this product as a birthday gift. It would have been a perfect novelty gift for someone who was into Nikon lenses and coffee. However, in reality that never materialized. The very first time it was used it sprang a leak. Call me crazy, but the most important aspect to a successful travel mug is the proper containment of whatever liquids are put into it. On this major point it FAILS ! I know you only get what you pay for, but this time I got a lot less. Don't waste your money on this one !

Can't use as a travel mug....
This mug says Nicam (not too concerned about that) - looks pretty good, does not seem to leak. HOWEVER - the screw on lid also does not offer any kind of opening to drink thru; if you want to get a drink you have to unscrew the lid. I was hoping to use this as a travel mug & will be sending it back today. Maybe the lack of openings on the lid should be mentioned in the description somewhere...

I don’t recommend if you plan on using this daily
It Leaks, Badly. The metal part broke away from the camera “lens”. plastic almost immediately. I don’t recommend if you plan on using this daily.

Good gift for a photographer
I bought the cup as gift for my son, a photographer, and it's perfect for that. The resemblance to a real lens is impressive.
