If you have a look through my most recent reviews, you'll have seen that I'm going through a bit of an obsessive period with all of the stuff in my kitchen, so I'm going through my utensil rack one by one and replacing all of the scabby old things. One of the scabbiest things in the rack were my old scissors - not even kitchen ones - that were hanging up on it, looking somewhat sorry for themselves. They were sharp enough, but my plan is to make my rack as colourful and attractive (and useful!) as possible, so their dull black handles had to go.I looked at a few different pairs of scissors before going for these ones, but I clinched these when they on sale for only £5.99 (a tenner less than normal), which was a total bargain! Thanks to Amazon Prime, they arrived the very next day so I set about tearing into the box to see what they were like. My first impression was that they were actually much bigger and chunkier than expected, which was a good thing - and I liked the fact that there was a minimal amount of packaging on them, which is all recyclable. They're also, as you may expect, delightfully green. Bright green.So what are they like? Well, as I said before, the handles are chunky (and very green) and they're very comfortable to use. Most importantly however, the main cutting blades are very sharp. There's a few cheeky wee extra features on these scissors, though. One of the handles has an extra metal bit poking from it, which can be used to wedge tins open and various things; there are crushing bits on the insides of the handles for nuts and the likes; one of the blades has a tin/bottle-opening bit on the inside edge of it and a serrated edge on its outside edge, which could have multiple uses. Most usefully is the fact that these scissors come completely apart - the knobbly bit (I'm sure there's a real name for that bit) that holds the blades together allows them to come apart when held at a certain angle, allowing you to use that tin/bottle-opening bit and the serrated edge more effectively - and also to allow you to clean them properly. This is a fantastic feature.All in all, I think that these feel like they're going to be a great addition to the kitchen. These scissors feel very durable, are comfortable to use, have some great and very useful features and look fantastic! I love them!

Fantastic scissors at the current bargain price (£5.99), the fact that you can easily separate the blades to give them a thorough clean after cutting the likes of chicken is a major plus. I'd be happy without some of the Swiss-army knife additions as I wouldn't think to reach for scissors if I need to open bottles, jars or tins of paint (slippage could maybe invite a hospital visit?!) but otherwise great.Still deserves five stars for ease of cleaning, price and they're efficiently sharp.

OK, more complicated than they need to be. Would have been good to supply a cap for camping etc.

Fab kitchen scissors, cut through meat with ease and because they detach very easy to clean.

Great versatility and love the colour. Very practical and at a decent price. I would definitely recommend.

Fine but not as smooth action when cutting as some cheaper scissors

These Scissors are the real deal| Excellent blades and the little 'gizmos' on the scissors really work. The fact that they come apart is very hygienic.
