So far not to excited.
Right now I am going to give this a 4 star I have made the English Short Bread and it looks great but taste more or less like flour. Husband was not impressed. There are two recipes in this that are only for bread machines. Since I do not own one I can’t make this. I would have thought that since the rest that are for bread machines also have normal recipes these would have as well. I am very interested in trying the other recipes and seeing how they turn out. I won’t be using the English muffin one since I already have a recipe for that that everyone loves. English Short Bread- taste a lot like flour and not much else. If I have done something wrong please let me know. Husband is not impressed. My rating may change as I make more of these recipes. Will update as I make more of these recipes.

Smaller than I thought. But has basic recipes. Nice addition to my collection of recipes from around the world.

Got as gift for my daughter. My mother is Scottish Irish. I’m a genealogist and tracing her line. Thought I should add some recipes

Expecting a little more to be honest, the book just looks like a few photocopied pages put together. Rather disappointing but some nice recipe’s

Not Just For The Brit's. You'll eat this one up.
I (and my best friend) live next door to one another in a nice Senior Citizen's mobile home park. Rita was born and raised in England, and she loves to bake and cook (and loves to share the goodies with me) I bought this book for her, and she was thrilled to death with it. The recipes are easy to follow, and have all been delicious. We both highly recommend this book.

Disappointed!
I expected more recipes. I already have all of them, except the crumpets. I would have preferred coloured photos and more of the different cooking stages. Doubt I’ll ever use it!

Einfache Spitze. Einige der besten Rezepte aus der alten englische Küche. Was aber für einige ein Problem sein könnte, das ganze Buch ist in Englisch geschrieben. Für mich kein Problem da ich Engländer bin. Wer das Buch kauft bekommt viel geboten,das Buch beinhaltet Verbindungen für viele kostenlose Rezepte zum downloaden und ausdrucken. dazu noch eine kostenlose Mitgliedschaft zum Produzent der Rezepte. Jedesmal werde ein neues Rezept veröffentlicht Wert bekommen sie den per E-Mail zugesendet Punkt finde ich klasse. Volle kaufempfehlung

Good recipes but very thin book, not enough recipes in it

Interesting little book.
Recipes look good and will try some of the recipes. Was also offered a second book free and got the Cornish Pastie one, and will try those recipes as well. Thanks! Added next day....Just made the English muffins in bread machine and very happy with the results!

Einige nette Rezepte, aber wenn in einem englischen rezeptbuch mit amerikanischen Einheiten (cups) gerechnet wird,passt das nicht zusammen! Ich hab somit kaum Verwendung dafür, da MSN mühsam umrechnen muss und da kann grad beim backen schnell was in die Hose gehen.da bin ich zu faul und zu schlecht im backen zu
