Great for sore muscles and dry skin. After a hard day these bath salts are just what you need to relax and unwind. Will buy again!

Sent is nice, woodsy but not overbearing. You don't need a lot. Relaxes muscles and makes skin soft. Most important, will not stain your tub. Better when on sale $25. Highly recommended.

Love the smell of these salts! It can be a bit strong right when you add it but it fades nicely. There's a measuring spoon built into the lid which is super helpful. My only complaint is that the shipping was slow and no tracking was available. Also, the estimated arrival window is really wide and it didn't arrive until the very end of the window, at least in my case. I had basically assumed it would never arrive, so if you can't wait for it to come from Japan I'd look elsewhere; on the other hand, it was neat seeing the postage notes from Japan all over the box :)

Bath Roman is my favorite series of bath salt from Japan. This particular scent is not floral or too romantic, but it makes you feel like you were submerged into the pile of scented shredded woods. It turns water into orange-yellow and this calming woody scent immediately takes over the entire bathroom. So relaxing. The scent is good for both men and women, and it does not remain on your body as long as the other floral varieties.I take night bath, and it makes my bed smells wonderful and keeps me warm until I fall asleep. A great way to end my day.

I am a Bath Roman Junky. Each time I run out of it I order a new scent. NONE of them have broken out my sensitive skin or if you are a female who has had lady part issues with certain bath items..none with this brand to be expected! This particular scent was what I would call forest. It is if you have ever walked in a wood full of evergreens..that smell. It also is a bit of an orangish yellow color. These products never stain my white garden tub and leave no residue. They scents mellow when mixed with water. This is one of those items that I keep in stock and give as gifts!

Cypress, wood, amber, salt very mild scent that comes out yellow. Your bath will look yellow, but ignore that and get in. It is a nice relaxing scent and very soft on your skin. This one is my favorite out of the three I have tried. Use the oval lid to measure out your salts, pour, get in and relax. Great for grumpy men and stressed out females. The salts will not harm your tub licking pets. And the color does not stain anything.

I couldn't find this particular bath roman at Mitsuwa so I decided to order it here and It has become one of my favorite bath additives for when I want to relax! (The lid is used to help you measure how much you need for a bath.) One of the most pleasant hinoki scents I have come across and it really warms the body to the core. I found myself fast asleep after this bath. It soothed my cramps! l I am definitely purchasing more as I tend to be a bit heavy handed with scents I enjoy.

I absolutely love the scent of this stuff. It has such a mild cedar/woods/pinewood smell that is super relaxing. It's made my skin slightly softer. The only down side is the scent isn't very strong when added to the water. It's still noticeable enough to enjoy. It does turn the water a very cloudy yellow/orange color which isn't the prettiest but I don't mind the color. It's definitely my favorite out of all the ones I've tried. Definitely going to be ordering this again.

TLDR: excellent, nicely scented bath powder. If you're looking specifically for that hinoki smell, just get this.In Japan, onsen baths are typically made from stone, tile or wood. Hinoki is the wood that's typically used to make the wooden baths (ofuro), as it's resistant to water. Another property of Hinoki though is the amazing scent! This is one of the smells of Japan for me, ever since I took shelter under a hinoki tree on the beautiful island of Miyajima one magical rainy day and was surrounded by the most amazing smell. I can say the smell of these salts is legit!

Real hot spring water at home when not even close to a japanese hot spring - brings back memories and relaxes the whole family, plus gets the whole area near the bath scented like a cedar forest - just gorgeous!

Just perfect for a long luxurious soak in a hot bath. Initial surprise at the bright orange colour but the colour dissipates in the water and the oil is fabulous for moisturising the skin. Love the soft gentle scent of Hinoki.
