Stately piece
Some people complained about the inside being unfinished. It’s not even seen when filled with brollys and sticks. Beautiful finish on the outside. Perfect height and straight so they don’t jumble about or tip it over. Very sturdy.

I really like the look of the black porcelain stand
I really like the look of the black porcelain stand ... I just wish the inside surface that is visible was a uniform color—either black or the natural color. Overall, its beautiful and functional in our sunroom porch.

Umbrella Stand
Both my neighbor and I bought one but had to paint the inside as it was not finished and looked cheap with the clay color showing through. Very nice size for canes and umbrellas.

Had to make it work, but it turned out ok
So I wanted a nice fantasy-esque umbrella stand for my Lucius Malfoy walking stick/wand. I'll be looking for it still at garage sales and backwoods roadside antique shops but I made this work for now.The outside is actually fairly decent; it's a plain glossy black ceramic. Nothing spectacular, but it's ok.The inside of it is pretty awful. There's no glaze at all inside, other than the crappy/splotchy mess that got splattered inside before it was fired. So your left with plain ceramic yellow, and 1st grade black over-splotch.I almost sent it back, but I had an idea. One trip to the local hardware store and multiple, multiple coats of Flex Seal and VOILA! An acceptable stand, see image #2So, if you're nuts like me an willing to put in the extra effort and the 14 bucks or so for the Flex Seal, this will turn out to be a halfway decent piece.If not, its best to select something else.
