Extra Strength Cedarwood Travel Deodorant 2.25oz deodorant by Duggan Sisters

This product happened to pop up after months of wishing I could find a powder form of natural deodorant. I learned how harmful regular antiperspirants can be to the body so I was sure about making the change but try after try of the natural "wet" or "gooey" natural alternatives was 1) not working to keep odors away after a long night at the hospital 2) made me feel uncomfortable-the residuey feel is just not for me...sooooo I tried it. I now have the large containers for home use and keep this little guy with me in my travel bag. I won't use anything else. I even had my man try it and as skeptical as he was he tried it and is amazed that he can even go a day in between (if he forgets or something) and yup still no stink! BE AWARE this is not an antiperspirant so it will allow your body to finally sweat freely and allow those icky toxins right out of your body...which brings me to my next important point...you may experience a little redness or itchiness in the beginning...from what I learned on the Duggan Sister's website (I encourage you to visit them-plethora of information!!) this is normal and it is because your body is reacting to the sweat and toxins your body is releasing! Sounds gross but after a while your body will adjust plus sweating is cool! It's annoying that people get freaked out by it. It's a natural part of being human! Our bodies are amazing don't stop them from doing their duties to keep us healthy!!

Believe you me, I had my doubts and suspicions, I suffer from extremely sweaty ( thankfully not too smelly, but I have had my moments) arm pits, and I've tried dozens of products over time, even extreme advanced strength, and medicated deodorants, still no avail. I discovered whether expensive or cheap, most deodorants work the same for me, I was a bit skeptical about trying this product, being that it's not a familiar name nor popular deodorant company like most of us are accustomed to using over the years e.g. "Gillette" "secret" "Mitchum", etc, but in doing my due diligence I found numerous mentions speaking highly, so I took a cheap gamble by investing in the least expensive smallest travel size. Would you believe I have not sweated since my first application, this may sound farfetch, as well unbelievable, but this product works, I'm no medical physician, so I'm not sure if a lack of sweat is a good or a bad thing, but I am not complaining one bit, my armpits, including shirts when I take them off are bone dry, scentless and free from odor. Funnily a couple nights ago, I took an evening shower, and decided against putting on deodorant fore I was going to bed, and during rest I began sweating under my armpits, and said to myself "wow, I can't recall the last time I felt this, sensation" but was relieved that my body was still producing, because during usage I remain dry.

Ok, this deodorant totally does prevent any kind of body odor and actually prevents anything beyond mild sweat secretion. But in many cases (including mine) it causes your armpit to erupt into a rash which then turns into a scab. Very painful to have that happen in the armpit area. They claim that it is your body "cleansing" and "removing toxins" from our unnatural lifestyles after switching from conventional deodorant/antiprespirant. Now if this is true anyone whop stops using conventional deodorant will develop the same rash. So is this company trying to not take responsibility for the fact that its products cause your armpit to erupt into a painful scaley rash??? Thats what it sounds like to me. Kind of hard to care about the lack of potentially carcinigenic and alzheimer inducing components when i am in this much pain from using this product.

For a natural deodorant it worked as expected. It's only a deodorant (not anti perspirant), but I really like the lack of chemicals that brings.

Great product as it does what it says it would do!

Excellent product. Hubby doesn't have issues with it. Then again, he doesn't use it daily as he alternates with other organic products.

Unclear why this works so well.

I liked the fine powder, but within four hours I was very stinky. I wasn't doing anything strenuous. I am unfortunately returning this item.
