This is a very good mailbox.FIRST IMPRESSION: It feels a lot more substantial than any of the others we’ve used in the past - thicker, heavier, less “tinny”, better quality.Well-finished, with a smooth locking mechanism, and easily able to take the full sized, thick A4 large letters.FITTING: Fitting it to a fence was quite simple - the 4 holes were easily accessible through the open rear door, and once in place, it felt quite sturdy - see photos.KEYS: There were 2 keys supplied - we needed more, but finding somewhere to cut a key during Covid lockdown was quite difficult - until I realised that duplicates could be ordered very easily from that well-known online auction site - all you need to know is the type/brand name of the blank, and the 3-number code on one of the original keys. There are numerous suppliers only too willing to send you what you need - we got our extras without any bother. OK, not exactly the best advert for security, but then again, all mailboxes are pretty much the same when it comes to lock quality.UPDATE (Nov 2022): over 2 years, including 2 winters later, it is still as good as new.No sign of rust, tarnish or warping, and apart from an occasional dab of oil on the hinges and lock, maintenance-free.Definitely recommended. 👍

We've got this fitted above the garden gate to save issues with the Postie worrying about our two German Shepherds. The delivery came with screw and rawl plugs.It only took a few minutes to install and it looks quite professional. The slot is big enough for all the mail we get and it has a large enclosure so it can take quite a few days mail if you're on Holiday.It seems to me that the finish on it is high-quality. Obviously, it will be spending its life in the weather and it needs to be up to the job. I don't anticipate any problems as there is no skimping on the material, finish, hinges, etc.There is a small plastic window at the back so you should theoretically see if any mail drops down and save a trip if empty.I ended up separately buying a wireless door bell in case we received a box too big to fit. I wanted to make sure we didn't miss a delivery in case the parcel delivery guy didn't want to enter the premises. Between the postbox and the bell, our deliveries are sorted.

I bought this letterbox as I wanted to keep my 5ft driveway metal gates locked but needed a letterbox fitted for the postman to deliver. I think this letterbox is super. I have fitted it to my gate by putting the top part through the scroll work on the top part of the gate. Using two pieces of steel I drilled holes to correspond with the holes in the letterbox then with the steel strips on the outside of the gate and the letterbox on the inside of the gate bolted the steel and letterbox together. Letterbox sits perfectly and is so well designed no one will be able to put their hands in to removed post from the slot. No bad for a 71 year old recently widowed woman who has never done DIY, if I can do it, anyone can.

Every time the post man came into our garden to post through our letter box, he kept leaving the gate open, we would open the door later to let the dogs into the garden, off the dogs go down the street. Annoying. So we bought this and fit it into our 6 foot timber fence. Now they have no need to enter our gardens. Perfect. Good quality product, sturdy and easy to install. Lots of space for the post and because of the design, it’s impossible for anyone to put their hand in to pull out post.

It was very hard to find this gate letterbox. Most of them are just a box you attach the the outside but this one had the security we needed so the box is on the inside of the gate and the opening makes it almost impossible for a hand to go in and retrieve what is in there. My only criticism is that the postage made this really too expensive but we needed it and went ahead.

The letter box is a very good size and looks amazing on my wall. i love the fact that i can look through the looking glass to see if i have mail or not. I was going to fiddle with it initially as i really wanted stainless steel effect but upon arrival i loved it so much i just used it as it is. the item arrived within 3days and i had a specific hour slot of when to expect it, which didnt ruin my plans for my day waiting for it. i give it a 10/10

Sturdy, looks good, good finish, comes with fixing kit and 2 keys - it also has a clear 'window' at the rear so we can see if there is post. It even got delivered on time, and that in the week before Christmas. Plenty of room in it for lots of cards, and for some A4 sized magazines as well.Not the cheapest on the market, but in this as with almost everything, I'm sure you get what you pay for.

Have built it into the stone wall of our remodelled porch it looks and works well. Just remember to retrieve the keys from the cellotaped plastic bag just inside the letterbox before use otherwise you end up fishing the keys out with a magnet lol
