A very fine model, except for the wing skids.
Firstly, this is the Corgi AA28803 which is a 1/48 scale model NOT a 1/72 scale model as stated on Amazon’s product page. The paint scheme and markings appear to be taken from a period photograph of a Bristol F-2B fighter from No. 1 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps. Mejdel Jaffa Area, Palestine in 1918.Detailed modelling seems to be based on the E2582 at the Imperial War Museum Duxford.Fuselage and wing casting have very fine and accurate detail and the paint finish is excellent.Structural rigging between the two main wings is taught and well done but the model doesn’t include aileron or rudder control horns or cables. There are however a couple of inaccuracies with this model.Firstly, the wing dihedral is far too flat, this probably reflects a compromise relating to manufacturing costs and I don’t think most people will consider this a big issue.Secondly, the wing skids are fitted back to front, they should slop backwards from the leading wing edge.I think this error emanates from the E2582 at Duxford which also has the wing skids fitted back to front!I have checked the period photo mentioned above, plus numerous photos and videos on the internet and there isn’t another examples of wing skids connected in this direction! That said, this is still an extremely fine model that is well worth the asking price.

One of Corgi's Finest
This is a relatively new mold from Corgi and what a beauty. No other manufacturer makes a diecast Beaufort in 1/72 scale, this particular version depicts a bit of WW2 history of a very brave crew. If you are a collector of WW2 diecast aircraft then this model should be in your collection.

Excellent model of a famous WW1 fighter.
This was a large fighter compared with contemporary WW1 fighters and this is reflected in the model size. This comes with fine metal strut wires unlike many of the other biplane models that I have. The price was also considerably less than other retailers. All in all a very good addition to any WW1 aeroplane collection.

Ben fatto. Per appassionati
L'ho regalato a mio nipote appassionato come me di seconda guerra mondiale. Articolo grande, robusto, stabile e costruito molto bene. Il prossimo lo comprerò per me.
