Mount Plate Adapter For GoPro Hero 6 5 4 3+ Yi 4k Cam Switch Mount for DJI Osmo

I bought this hoping that it would work with the Garmin VIRB Ultra and it does work fine, but it’s just not as convenient as I would have preferred. The two thing that prevented me from giving it five stars were 1) the fact that it’s difficult to turn the power/record switch albeit manageable and 2) I have to completely unscrew it from the adapter to remove it. The power/record switch is on one side and the lens is on the other side, both preventing the ability to just loosen the screws and slide the camera out.These may not be problems with GoPros, for which this adapter was presumably designed. For $9, I’ll deal with my two gripes and go ahead and recommend it.

Works great. Does not balance on my gimbal, but neither does my phone. I recommend adding weight to the motor side of the gimbal arm. Be careful threading screws. I recommend starting both screws, then tighten down. Which is standard procedure.

U-Bar to lock in GoPro did not have 90 degree bends to facilitate screws from aligning properly. Threading was also not formed properly, therefore screws would go through at a different angle. The mounting plate itself seems solid, but without the ability to secure the GoPro camera, it is a paperweight. Will need to return.

Amazing product! The screws threads are not on 90 degrees, but I don't see any problem with that, just screw it carefully! ,The plate adapter, I think fits any action camera, without any problem, just follow the dimensions. I have a SJ7 STAR and a Smooth Q gimbal , they are like brother and sister, perfect match. You can buy this product , without any hesitation. I have nothing to do with this seller, I am just like you a simple buyer! I googled this on amazon and after so many expensive adapters like this, I choose this, the best and cheapest on the market!!!

This adapter works perfect with my GoPro Hero 3+ and gimbal, I needed this to flip it for front facing videos not just selfie videos. I was hesitant at first with some of the other reviews but glad I decided to get it anyways. It was easy to install the GoPro to the plate and with very little adjustments it balanced as perfect as my phone does. Once I upgrade to a 5 or 6 this adapter will still work and I'll be able to see the LCD screen. Please keep in mind I'm using the SMOVE Mobile gimbal so results could vary with other gimbals. All in all, this was an awesome buy.

I didn't have as tough a time with the off angle screw holes as others noted, but mine disintegrated the first time I used it. The lip that supports the camera against the pressure of the clamp split off from the rest of the body of the adapter right before my eyes. It does have a nice coating, but you might want to pay a bit more for something without the gaudy Woohot logo and that's slightly better made.

I'll have agree with previous assessments of it not being able to balance with either the Hero 5 or 6 models on the Zhiyun Smooth Q or Zhiyun 4. You cannot slide out far enough to counterbalance the actual weight of the bracket itself and it causes the gimbal to stop because it is too heavy for the gimbal to handle. Three people on set tried to fix this. Nope. I now own two paperweights. Bummer.

Adapter is too heavy to place Hero 6 on the Gimbal. Causes the Gimbal to fall over. If you manipulate the weight, you can get by with having a Smooth hold it upright. The screw holes that hold the clamp for the camera to sit in ("U" shaped piece) doesn't line up with the threaded holes. I can sit the camera in and somewhat bend the piece to get the threads started enough to hold the camera in place. This adapter is made more for Hero 4 and older style cameras (If the screws and threaded holes on the adapter lined up correctly that is)
