Keep them dry and do not buy from Huojo!
Now, This is'nt actually a bad headset. Its actually pretty good if you know its limitations.I bought these for a trip to the Alps they were ordered around the 20th of March and they arrived Mid April I never got a chance to install and test them until the end of May. First impressions were the buttons were too small for gloved fingers but to be honest you soon get used to feeling your way around them. Voice quality was great and we could hold a conversation fine up until around 80MPH. Music quality wasn't fantastic but it wasn't unpleasant to listen to and it was quite nice to have a tune in my head during any boring dual carriageway riding. The range isnt as far as advertised but it was more than enough. We used them from North Aberdeenshire down to Newcastle in a day of rain and they were faultless there is no way of knowing if the battery is low but we never had any issues with them going flat. We had another 2 days of riding on the continent and were very happy with them. It was great being able to point out scenery to each other, plan stops, let each other know if it was clear to overtake etc and I had commented that we would be lost without them.Day 3 set off from out camp site near Gmuden in heavy rain and it never stopped all day. The audio was breaking up a little over the Gerlos Pass but I put it down to the battery getting low as we had been riding and chatting for around 6 hours. Unfortunately it was worse than that! Both units failed, my one wouldn't switch on and the other one wouldn't switch off it actually stayed on for weeks! These units are advertised as being waterproof and OK to use in the rain/snow but they obviously have a limit. to be fair to the units it was very very wet for the whole day, my pinlock visor was even fogging up which I've never had before. In hindsight we should have taken them off and tucked them somewhere dry that day.We were absolutely gutted to be without them for the rest of the trip. When I got home I contacted the seller he said you've had them for a while now so nothing to do with him. I explained it had only been around 4 months then he suggested I get them repaired and let him know the cost. I told him that's not really feasible with such low cost units in the UK. He then said he would offer me a 25% refund and after months of emails back and forth the best he has offered is 33% refund which isn't acceptable to me. I've even offered to pay towards replacement units but I'm not getting anywhere.Amazon cant help with Marketplace sellers and suggested I contact my card issuer but as this was bought with an amazon gift card that's not possible either.I have contacted the manufacturer and they are willing to repair the units FOC if I send them back to China (expensive) but I think they're going to give me a replacement set at a discounted rate.So in summary, Great units as long as you don't get them too wet but don't buy them from this guy as he will not honour any warranty.
