If You Have a USB Device That Also Runs On Batteries, You Need These!
I have a small lighted base on my desk I always forget to turn off. That means I have to either change the batteries frequently or recharge them. With this, if I forget, it doesn't matter since these are basically a battery bypass. They simply route the power through.

The times we live in!
20 years ago I would never have guessed that there would be a market for fake batteries, but here we are.In case you do not understand why these exist, they exist because there are a number of Li-Ion batteries that are the same size as common batteries (AA, AAA). The only problem is that the Li-Ion versions have almost 3x the voltage of the everyday alkaline cell, and that can fry a lot of widgets. These dummy batteries let you use one or two Li-Ion cells in a 3-4 cell widget without frying things. Much.

Can use in battery charger
I bought this hoping I could use it in my battery charger to charge a single battery. The first time I tried it, it didn’t appear to work but when I but this behind the rechargeable battery in the circuit, it worked. Glad I bought it.

For using re-chargeables
I have been replacing all of my one-time use batteries with rechargeables. The better solution for me is the lithium version, anywhere from 3.2 to 3.7V, but they are not "drop-in" replacements for the standard 1.5V one-time use batteries. Using one of these "dummy" placeholders along with one rechargeable does the trick. I get much longer use from a 3.2V plus a dummy than from a couple standard 1.5V cells.
