Plus Interval Timer and Stopwatch and Gymboss Strap - Bundle (Black with Green Buttons)

This interval timer works great and is very easy to set and use. I saw a couple of reviews where they said the timer had fallen off the watchband while they were using it. I'll bet they didn't have it pushed on all the way. I found that you have to push it on with a fair amount of force until it clicks. When you do that it won't detach from the band until you want it to. And when you want to remove it, it is very easy to remove. It also comes with a pocket clip and I can clearly hear the alarm when it is clipped to my pocket. But when it's on the watchband not so much. But that's not a problem because I turn the alarm off and set it to Vibe. It is then silent and not noticed by anyone nearby but easily felt by me and I never miss an interval change! I did have one actual minor issue. The battery door was extremely difficult to open and even worse to close. In fact I never closed it as it was made. I played with it and played with it and it felt as if I was going to break it if I used the force it seemed like it would take to close it. So, I studied it for a few minutes and after that it took me less than a minute to trim a very tiny bit of the plastic from the main lock tab on the battery door and perfection! I left the two smaller lock tabs as they were. It opens and closes with enough force to keep it tightly and securely closed, but not so much that it feels like it will break when you open or close it. Everything is actually very well made and if the timer or watchband ever go out of commission I'll immediately replace them with exactly the same model. I have the black plus, with green buttons, and of course the great watchband! It's been a game changer for me. I only post reviews for things I feel strongly about one way or the other. In this case I am very happy to report I'm strongly positive about the timer and watchband. Also, I have never communicated with the manufacturer and have not be given an offer of any form of compensation for my review. I hope this review helps.

Love it. I run/walk and the timer motivates me to run longer before I take a walk break. It is very motivational to be able to push myself to run longer and to look forward to walking as a reward. I wear it on my wrist to feel the vibration and hear the beeps.

I got one, love it my daughter took it, and I bought the Charge version for myself. It is a perfect training tool for HIIT and very easy to use. The watchstrap is useless because the timer cannot be pushed to the bottom to secure its location there. It can fly out of the strap during running. I did some careful inspection and removed two small legs (as red cycles in the photo) from strap. The issue was resolved after that. The watchstrap material can be softer (using silicon?).

Given the relatively expansive features and limited number of buttons, getting the hang of how to use the device takes a little while. I use this with clients and realized quickly that it's not something that can reliably be figured out w/o instructions on-the-fly. This isn't by any means a bad thing and once you get the hang of it it's not complicated at all, but it is something I would recommend future buyers be aware of if they intend on using the device in a time-sensitive scenario. Overall though, it is a phenomenal device! Having both a clip and a wrist strap as options is fantastic, and both work quite comfortably.

I can’t speak to the long term quality of this. Its appearance is fair - certainly a bit old school looking but giving 5 stars on concept. It’s gotten to the point that I swear if I can dream it, someone has made it. I needed a countdown interval timer such as this for a work related function - and well, here it is. I use it to repeatedly countdown increments of 15-20 seconds so I don’t have to count. It works - therefore I’m happy I bought it. Happy such a thing exists. Because otherwise, there isn’t much of another choice. So great thinking on the part of the manufacturer. And I’d buy it again!

The GymBoss Plus that I received was defective. It failed to power ON. I have a professional battery test (~$100), and checked various AAA batteries during my efforts. None of the new (100% life) batteries were able to turn the unit on (while working on other devices). I suspect it had to do with the middle "set" button appearing to be stuck in the down position (which is how you turn the unit's power OFF). Either way, what a waste of time. Shame on you GymBoss. It would appear that you had a relatively good reputation in the past, but the build quality (specifically, ALL of the buttons, not just the one I mentioned above) of the unit I received was completely unacceptable. It's not clear to me if it's a quality control issue, or a part selection issue. But either way, the unit I received convinced me to look elsewhere.

I've been using this for about a year now, and I really love it. I use it for every run as I train for my half marathons. It has been a game changer for me. I fully buy into the Galloway system, and this is a no-brainer buy for anyone who wants to try out this more body-friendly way of running.

3rd Gymboss timer I have purchased over the years as a fitness coach and Physical Education Teacher. this one lasted less than a year. 1st one-lasted 2 years and then screen stopped showing numbers clearly. (2015) 2nd one-lasted 8 years before the screen stopped showing numbers clearly. (2017) 3rd one-bought in August....by Feb. the start/stop button stopped working (other features seem to be functioning)

Si deve andare sul sito Gymboss per trovare un disegno un poco esplicativo. Traduco in chiave dummy per chi fa esercizi di fisioterapia a casa. Se vuoi fare un esercizio di 10 secondi devi scrivere (pulsante set)10 nella posizione in alto a destra (1° interval) e se vuoi fare un riposino di cinque secondi fra un esercizio e il successivo devi scrivere 5 nella posizione in basso destra (2° interval). Premendo via via il pulsante set dai le altre regolazioni: quanti esercizi dello stesso tipo devi fare (lo scrivi nel cartiglio a sinistra), poi imposti il suonino Allarme (Beep) e/o la Vibrazione VB (meglio percepibile di Vb), infine quanto deve durare il beep. Se fai esercizi di 10 secondi il beep non può superare 2 secondi. Accendi l'aggeggio premendo il pulsante laterale sinistro e poi allo stesso modo dai l'avvio per i 10 esercizi di seguito. Inizia il countdown. Ad ogni avvio diminuisce il numero di esercizi rimanenti. Tieni il dispositivo al polso. Se hai blocchi di tot esercizi ciascuno conviene ripetere l'avvio alla fine di ogni blocco. Sul sito Gymboss paghi 20 dollari; su Amazon 35 €: il ricarico mi pare un poco eccessivo. Correzione successiva: la differenza di prezzo è dovuta al fatto che la confezione Amazon contiene anche, separatamente, il cinturino apposito.

Perfecto para mis necesidades

I just recieved this. It does everything the description says. It's easy to use. I thought it might be too big to wear as a watch but it's not, smaller than i thought it would be. I love it, definitely worth the price. We will see how durable it is.

It's really good for interval training,. The Gymboss PLUS Interval Timer plus wrist strap is very simple to set up and use. I am happy that I bought this, it helps with my run training. My eyesight isn't that good so I like that it has a large screen that is easy to read at a glance (without wearing my my specs).
