My flavoring intentions for this product was to create my own mock "Hint" water without putting so much plastic into our environment. my purchase decision was made on good reviews and the fact that this had no added coloring or stevia. I added three drops of The Dolce Mango extract to the bottom of a tall glass before adding water. I decided it necessary to add one drop of my favorite zero calorie sweetener. I found this to be an acceptable "Hint" dupe as far as flavor but my esophagus felt weird and I was not wowed by any means. There was definitely a slight off aftertaste. I understand to make it water soluble and their wish to stretch profits by adding it to a carrier, they chose propylene glycol. The aroma of mango was very nice. The glass bottle and dropper was nice and packed well for shipping. Perhaps this product is more suited to people who vape and want to concoct their own solutions since the crackdown on the sale of flavored vapes. I would have just preferred a smaller bottle with the actual concentrate to dilute it myself. I ordered both a Mango flavoring and also a passion fruit, I received a box that said passion fruit and inside the box was a BlackBerry which I thought was kind of odd. Being a food item it was not a straightforward process to return. There wasn't an option to get the correct product, however I did eventually get approval for a refund from Amazon when I sent them a photo of receiving the wrong product. Due to not reacting well to the extract,I feel lucky to have received the wrong item and I won't be making a replacement order for the correct flavor with my refund.

Smelled amazing when I started with my macaron batch. After adding this to my egg whites they refused to whip in a normal amount of time. I assumed my eggs were too cold still but they never fully whipped up. I decided to at least try and bake them but once they were done and cooled, there was absolutely no flavor to any of them. Hoping this can maybe be used in the filling so it isn’t a complete waste of money.

Review of: Dolce Foglia Mango Extract Flavoring | 2 Oz. | The first thing I noticed, when looking at the label on the bottle, was the ingredients list. Propylene glycol and ‘natural flavoring’. Perhaps ‘natural flavoring’ means that actual mangoes were used to produce the product, I don’t know, but, in any case, I would have preferred to see some indication that mangoes were used at some point. Going beyond that one point, though, I do like the packaging of the product. The glass bottle is nice and will hopefully extend the useful life on the flavoring longer than if it were packed in a plastic bottle. And, in what is a real plus for me, the dropper that is included with the flavoring is great to have to when trying to better regulate the amount of product being used. No more of the ‘oh, used way too much that time’ moments. As for taste, I can’t complain. The Dolce Foglia Mango Flavoring does a more than adequate job of replicating a realistic base taste of mango. However, as I’ve found out in all of my taste tests (using soda water and filtered water), some kind of sweetener must be added along with the flavoring to bring the product up to the point where it tastes anywhere close to what a ripe/right-off-the-tree mango would taste like. Without the sweetener, I found that the drink had a just ‘kind-of-like-mango’ taste; which led me to add more drops of mango extract flavoring which did nothing to help the flavor. So, for how I’m going to use the product, as a base to make a cold, refreshing glass of mango water (or mango tea, etc.), the Dolce Foglia will work fine as long as I go easy on the number of drops of the flavoring that I use and that I add enough sweetener to the glass.

Taste like real mango. Smells like one.

great Smell and flavor a little goes a long ways, I make a Hazy Mango IPA For a Brew-Fest, Tried other things like Fresh Fruits to other Syrups, Just could not the flavor to come through. Just a Little of this In a 5 Gallon Keg Did the Trick. Very popular Beer, there are still people talking about it. Adds Flavor Not Sweetness.
