Perfect as a Volume Controller
I bought this only to control my volume on my PC running Windows 11. I have no other Razor products, this works directly with my PC's Bluetooth. It works directly from the box without drivers or using Razor software.Functions- Turning right or left controls the volume- Pressing down once mutes- Double press pauses the audio (Does not work with Youtube)1. Unlike other reviews it wasn't hard at all to install batteries, turn to release the back, turn the opposite way to lock the back, super easy.2. I place the controller on mouse mat material and turning the wheel does not move the base as well, this would have been a deal breaker for me but was happy this wasn't the case for meOnly Negative- If I were to really nit-pick, I would say the the wheel is chucky (not alone isn't bad), it's a solid piece of hardware, being that the wheel is on the large size, the volume increments is smaller since it takes longer to turn the wheel. So going from 0 to 100% will take a few full turns to complete (but how often do you need to go from 0-100% quickly). Again, not a deal breaker.Overall, I'm really happy with it and recommend it fully as a volume controller.

Software is truly unusable
TLDR; Good hardware ruined by unusable software.I bought this for software development. I intended to map some macros to it and use the wheel for scrolling. The hardware is good but the software is unusable. I saw plenty of reviews mentioning how bad the software was but I didn't believe it could be as bad as it is. I spent 4-5 hours the night the item arrived trying to troubleshoot and got nowhere. Then I called CS the next day and they troubleshoot it for over an hour with me and still got nowhere. It will control the audio just fine, but the software is unable to map anything to the buttons or the scroll wheel...except that it can map scroll to The wheel, but that's it and no other key bindings , mappings or macros work. I am returning this and buying a tour box lite instead. The software is garbage and the hardware isn't bad but I have a volume knob on my keyboard and I can use the spacebar to play pause. Unless you have the corresponding razer speakers then this is just one more thing you don't need on your desk.

Great Product
It was easy to set up to the app and to the speakers itself. The controller is easy enough and it was bigger than i expected.

I like it
This is marketed as primarily an audio control knob, but audio control is actually just one use case. It has so many more uses if you configure the functions in synapse. It is my doomscrolling device, and I love it. Spin right scroll down, spin left scroll up, push down once = middle click to open in new tab. I use it with my left hand so my right hand can operate the mouse aiming simultaneously without having to worry about operating scroll or click with my fingers. It's also great for scrolling through pdf files and jogging through my NVR recordings so I can see the always prompt Amazon delivery persons and judge about at what height they dropped my latest package onto my front porch. I award style points for creative tosses. No but really if you do a lot of scrolling, maybe a paralegal suffering through legal docs or a video editor jogging through your latest edit, this thing is amazing.

Its good but so is a media key on a keyboard
its hard to justify 50 bucks for this since you can just hit vol up and down on most keyboards, but it looks cool and it feels good. wireless via bluetooth, double tap to skip, tap to pause, etc. twist for volume. also software to control more things with it.

I love this product!
It's way better than the Microsoft wheel. It stays plugged into Bluetooth and works consistently. It feels good in the hand, and it's half the price of the Microsoft comparable product. It's definitely worth the money. I may have to get a couple more. I use mine with Windows 11 alone, just as a volume control or mute button.

Software and firmware are garbage!
I really wanted to like this device, but it is complete junk. Physically, the knurled knob feels nice, but it lacks heft and slides on the table too easily. The click is far too sensitive and doesn't have tactile feedback commensurate with a $50 device. Turning the knob is okay, it's smooth and just firm enough. However, with the lack of stability (slides around too easily), you can't just poke at it with a finger, you have to grab the knob. Also, there is no tactile feedback nor customizations. That's the good part. The bad part is that the Windows software is absolute garbage. I was not able to get it to properly install and run on my machine. I did get it to install and "run", but was never able to access any of the functions I wanted -- the ability to map the actions on the wheel to different behaviors. And it doesn't stop at the software. The firmware on the device is so bad, sometimes it takes 30 seconds or more for the wheel turn to take effect on my machine.I wish I had an alternative to suggest, but I do not at this time. I will not buy another Razer product due to this experience, they are far overpriced and only have a thin facade of quality. Run away from this junk and don't look back. Your life is better without this.

Very Simple Very Expensive Product
It does everything it's supposed to, yet at a ridiculous price. You can adjust the volume up and down.Tap to mute or unmute.Takes real batteries.Has bluetooth.I have no idea what justifies the price tag.
