Good design...but could be great....
I ordered the plank as I was looking for a modern, unobtrusive solution to hanging the keys by the garage door. It works great... mounting is easy, though it comes with two cheap drywall-type screws with NO anchors (which would have cost them, what, 10 cents each?) so any Plank mounted in drywall is going to wobble before too long. The magnet on the bottom is really strong and works great. It holds several heavy key rings with car remotes. So here's how it could have been even better...I'm guessing Plank was designed by 20 somethings who are just starting out. If you're single, or living in a door room, Plank is great. One cell phone or one pair of sunglasses can rest on top. One or two key rings on the bottom. But what about those of us who are a little older? How about a Plank 2 that's a little longer and can hold more keys? Plank is good and I want more of a good thing. For a two-person household Plank leaves you wanting a bit more.So one star off for the lack of anchor in the packet which is just a ridiculous oversight but beyond that, an excellent product!!!

Good, but needs some tweaks.
So with a few tweaks this works really well. The magnet on the bottom is strong, and will hold my rather heavy key ring, but does not stick to metal carabiners, so I use the keyring and let the carabiner hang. After mounted to the wall I noticed a few things: 1) the plank actually sits slightly more than a 90 degree angle. Just enough that it brings on a few little issues. Because there is no magnet to hold the plank on the wall, it just slides into the mount, when you put something on it like a phone or a pack of cards, the plank very easily slides out from the wall about half way down the length of the mounting poles. Maybe this is hard to visualize in words, but basically the shelf will slide off the wall by a few inches, which makes it feel unstable to put your phone on. So with the small tweak of cutting a tiny bit of velcro on both sides of the plank, and on the wall makes it stick in place along the wall with no visual change. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with the velcro but I had some laying around. Now there are no problems. So with some small tweaks I think it's great.

Great after a few modifications
Great after a few modifications. It wasn't until after I tried to mount the shelf on the wall that I started to read the reviews. As others have stated, the wall mounting mechanism for this shelf is not great. You have to mount the bracket on a stub for support, as you would to wall mount a tv. I was able to nail only one side to a single stub which provided just a little more stability than my first mounting attempt. The shelf still was not flush with the wall and still dipped at an angle just low enough to hang/slide off. Others reviewers have mentioned that "sliding" was not a deal breaker for them; I do not share their optimism. I loved the shelf itself but was very disappointed with the problems and failed "quick fixes" I had tried. I even tried the "velcro" solution a few times with no success. However, I came up with an easy solution that could work for anyone who still loves the shelf but hates the way it's mounted. I was able to carefully super glue a pair of leftover curtain rod mounting brackets to the bottom of this shelf (I used glue because I wasn't confident that the shelf would survive being drilled into. I used my exacto ruler to make sure all of the edges were flush (to eliminate any gaps once mounted to the wall). Once I nailed it to the wall, these modifications brought the shelf back to life for me. It's very sturdy, fixed and flush to the wall with zero gaps and doesn't slide or wobble at all. "L-shaped" curtain rod brackets are a great alternative / solution to all of the issues with this product. It's not the free floating shelf I thought it would be but I'm still very pleased with the end result after some initial disappointment and the testing of my MacGyver skills.

It's a nice design, and I like it
It's a nice design, and I like it, it works well. But the finish wasn't really up to par with the price tag, particularly on the magnet where some of the nickel was missing. But most importantly, comes with two drywall screws. Drywall screws are for mounting drywall to wood, not for mounting things to drywall. If you get this make sure you get drywall anchors. Nothing crazy as this isn't that heavy, but get anchors, and make sure you use flat head screws, or the plank won't sit all the way on, as I suspect is a problem at least one other reviewer has.And to the reviewer that has the problem with the shelf sliding off the rods. Most likely it's a wall issue, but if it's not, simply turn the bracket around 180 degrees, then it will point up slightly instead of down slightly. Mine pushes onto the mounting bracket with a little force, so it won't slip out easily at all. Or if you didn't use flat head screws they could be keeping the wood from seating fully.

Great idea
Great idea for storing stuff and keeping it off the counter tops and table tops. The design is pretty cool, but it needs a small bit of tweaking. The way it mounts to the wall is awesome, but the board slides, sometimes, and I've pulled it off the wall frams when grabbing keys off the magnet. Still, it's an awesome idea and I use it all the time! Looking forward to the next version!

Totally worth the price! Bought it for my husband and it came in a really nice box. He's able to hang literally everything on this, even his heavy grib wrist workout. We no longer look for keys with this.

Inaccurate mounting description
The video shows a metal mounting bracket. However, what I received was 2 screws/anchors and keyholes in the wood shelf which is not ideal and not what I was looking for in the shelf. They must have updated the design of the product from when they first made it.

Do not recommend.
I did not expect the magnet strip to be as weak as it was. Since this was f super cheap, I was expecting more. It was a bit of a disappointment. I will still gift it as it is nice wood and finished well, but there won’t be very many keys hanging from this shelf. Should’ve just put hooks.
