Love it, very well built.

I gotta say, this is a really good Whirlygig. Wings spin great even in a light breeze. Body readily pivots to position properly to catch the wind. Paint is well done. They include all the parts and even the screw driver to put it together and get it installed easily (took me about 10 minutes to get the wings on, then another ten to fasten it to my balcony). The body is wood, and yes (as another review pointed out) the wings are composite - BUT the wings look precisely like wood and appear to be much more durable than wood would be through our long Alaskan winters. If you like whirlygigs that spin GREAT in even light breezes....THEN this one will do it....I will update this review to let you know how the paint survived the endless daylight of the Alaskan summer. I have handmade wooden whirligigs on the fenceposts in my back yard. This one will stick out like a sore thumb. The wings are plastic, it's factory made, way too shiny, and just doesn't provide the same joy as a nice solid wood, hand painted whirligig. The worst thing is it does not come with a mounting nail. I have no way of attaching a plastic pole (without breaking it) to a wooden fence. It comes with a too-short metal "nail" which is not a nail because there is no point on either end. Wooden whirligigs come with a very long nail so it mounts properly.As for the stake? What good is a whirligig that's 2 feet off the ground? Whirligigs must fly high.

This whirlygig is made of wood- which should last longer than the ones made of cloth/nylon. Now, I have 2 blue jays and one cardinal attached to my fence, they give a pleasant sight as each rotates to the available wind currents.

Added a little touch of nostalgia to our yard. One wing turned more freely than the other. Not sure why. I even coated the horizontal shaft with grease to reduce any friction, but the action still wasn't the same when comparing both sides. But, in a good wind, they moved like crazy!

Pretty durable little guy, functions well, easy to assemble and looks nice even without a breeze spinning the blades. Fair price and seems well made, but time will tell as I live near the Pacific coast and do get some fog, wind, salt and rain during the year. So far so good.

Wonderful addition to our garden, it joins the cardinal and hummingbird. It is sure to last along while since most of the parts are plastic. we had wood ones but alas they did not last.

This little beauty is very high quality. I live on the 9th floor of a condo and the winds can reach 60 miles an hour and this baby stays put and takes a beating and still looks like new!

Wonderful quality! Vibrant colors. This has been outside during two Central NY winters so you can tell it is long lasting and sturdy. Wings whirl in the breeze. Love it!

Blue jay works great. Heavy duty with brilliant blue painting. Very, very pleased with this item. Sending one to my grandson too!

These are fun to watch. We always have some wind in the afternoon hours and the bird fly. I recommend them for your yard or garden.
