Great Pry Bar
I wasn’t sure how I felt about the Estwing I-Beam after I first started using it, but after a couple months of steady use it’s proven itself to be a quality made and effective tool. It’s light weight, I like the extra length I have with the I-Beam compared to my Vaughn “Superbar” (15”), and it appears to be durable. There are two downsides that I’ve noticed so far though; 1) the ends aren’t tapered as much as other pry bars that I’ve used and occasionally, although not often, I will have trouble hitting it in between the things I’m attempting to pry apart. 2) The flat part of the pry bar that I hit with my hammer has developed sharp edges. But don’t let those two “complaints” stop you from making this purchase. It’s a great pry bar, made in America, at a good price. Also it’s got a beautiful coat of glittering paint on it lol.

Solid tool well worth the purchase
You can never go wrong with Estwing. I have many tools over 30 years that are Estwing and they still perform well.

Not your Dad's pry bar!
What do I know? For the past 35 years, I thought a pry bar was a pry bar was a pry bar. Man, was I wrong! Unlike the description listed above, this PB-18 is 18.25 inches long and the long end of the bar is 1.75 inches wide. The PB-18's I-Beam design gives added strength while removing weight, and its rocking head provides maximum leverage. It's as light as a feather which, after a day of replacing trim or a few hours of light demolition, is a joy. It can't be bent either unless you throw it under the concrete truck. The nail slots are beveled to grab the nail head securely before you start pulling, meaning you don't have to pull any nail twice. What a relief that is. One more thing I was surprised to find is how its shape lends itself to delicate work around walls. When pulling crown molding or trim, I could gently rock the board away from the wall without leaving a mark thanks to the width of the face of the pry ends. I'm ordering a second one today as a gift to a relative. Every time I've given an Estwing as a gift at Festivus (or xmas), I got thanked for years on end every time I saw that person. Works like a charm.

Perfect Shape
This is my most used pry bar. It's not a gorilla demolition bar but for general use this is perfect. There is a flat face on the back of the claw that is great for smacking with a hammer and the bar itself makes a decent hammer in a pinch. The blades come to a fine enough point to get into tight cracks while still being strong enough to not worry about breaking. I only have two recommendations that would make this pry bar better. A hole to attach a cord so it can be tied off to prevent it sliding off a roof. A bright fluorescent color. If you spend any time working under houses a bright color makes it much easier to spot your tools and make sure you don't leave any behind.

A great tool to have around
I'm pulling old plywood, sheet rock, etc. off the walls of a garage that's also studded with nails, star screws, etc... - this is a great tool to have handy as opposed to just a claw hammer. I only put four stars because the beautiful blue finish came off as I used the claw (not really an issue)

Very nice pry bar, can't go wrong with this one.
This thing is light, it is surprisingly light but I could tell this thing would almost lift the mountain it is very sturdy. The flat head with the back that you can hammer makes this super easy to use, it's pretty good size but not so big that it can be considered an ape bar. The grip is smooth but I can see how this thing will get cold as heck in the winter. Eastwing is a company that is in the majority of Carpenters tool boxes or tool belts, it is hands down one of the best tool companies out there. I have hammers that are 30 years old no chips in them. The handle fell off one sadly, but even though it's got a lifetime guarantee, I feel 25 years was good enough. My other two are great, still smacking nails when I want to.

Excellent stong versatile tool - highly recommend
I bought this to remove nails from a 40 foot long fence that had fallen after a storm. The nails were long and those on the posts proved a challenge but this tool was excellent and versatile. Because of its length and the options the two ends provided and because it was so solid, I was able to use it and successfully dismantled the fence into sections I could lift. Some nails were tougher than others but this tool saved the day. BTW I am a 68 year old woman.

Good quality pry bar
Good quality pry bar as you would expect from Eastwing. Very useful configuration for leverage, easy to use. A bit expensive in my mind, but others might think it's OK.

Great buy.
Great quality and it’s the perfect size for what I need. I’m remodelling a 100 year old house and I am constant grabbing this crowbar.
