Great product but had problems with mounting
My wife has severe neck pain and I was looking for a device that would hold her iPad mini in the proper position so she would not be bending her neck to read. This has been great. Very staple and does not move except when needed.I gave it four stars due to the mounting options. First we tried the clamp. This held but slowly slid off over time. Then we tried the suction. The table is a smooth top but we think due to the iPad mini weight it broke free within an hour or so. I finally left the suction mounting on a drilled a hole through it and screwed it to the table top. It has been perfect since.

strong, well designed, but too short
This is the best tablet holder arm I've tried. It's almost long enough. It's strong enough to hold a 10" tablet. It can rotate at the base. It's stable enough so it doesn't bounce around much when you use the tablet. It doesn't sink over time. It's a little too short, and it doesn't enough degrees of freedom. There is a side to side swing joint at the end, plus a ball joint, but they're not quite good enough. It's designed to present a tablet away from it's base. So if it's mounted to a bed headboard, it can't bend around enough to let the tablet face the person. It does work well on either side. The clamp is sturdy, but not deep enough, nor concave enough, to hold a tablet in a case. I have to remove my Lenovo A10 from it's case to get this to hold. The clamp base is very well designed. It's designed to fit into a vertical hole, just like normal swing arm lamps. The clamp has multiple such holes in 3 different axes, so you can put it on a table edge, the top of a headboard, or the side of a vertical board. This lets you simply rotate it out of your way when you're done. The clamp holds well. It also comes with a suction cup base, which I havn't tried. Since the mounting point is a simple hole, it would be trivial to make your own mount for any other situation.I am considering 3d-printing some additional links for the swing joint at the end. That would make it longer, and let it curl around to face me in bed.

Last joint needs work, but otherwise seems decent enough
Arm seems sturdy enough.Easy to work with one hand.Springs are noisy when you move the arm, and the device clamp is very squeaky. I reduced the amount of sound made by removing 2 of the 4 springs on the arm. That's enough to hold up my phone and Switch.Due to the way it is built, your tablet/phone CAN be pointed downward, but NOT be angled towards the base. The last joint near where the device mounts can not be freely positioned like the other two joints. It's designed so it's always horizontal regardless of how the arm is bent. The ball joint can give you a very slight angle towards the base, but it's not enough. This means that if you want to use this while lying in bed, your device basically has to be right over your head - it can not be positioned lower if you prefer it over your chest or belly. Pictured is the sharpest angle you can get towards the base (no matter how you position the arm, the last joint will stay at that angle).Don't mount the base vertically, the swivel in the base is subject to gravity.

Thought I was buying a Zero G robot arm
Good: imagine a zero gravity robot arm I wish I had made one myself but instead decided to buy this piece of metal construction anodized springs all black looks like a nice robot armBad: the springs are not designed to work with tablets so there is going to be an issue supporting tablets unfortunatelyUgly: 1. cannot use this with tablets the springs are too weak and cannot support tablets. Since spring stiffness increases in parallel maybe adding two more springs to base would help tremendously. It's very easy to model this robot arm with springs and write down the torques and then properly size the damn spring stiffness.2. Clamp base is like a poor vise very short jaws so cannot hold anything well since it doesn't have enough surface area.

Well made and stable
Used the suction base and it supports my Kindle with hard cover (1 lb 6 oz). Arms are very stable and holds the Kindle's position. Would purchase again.

But overall it's a great product, and it's well built
I would have given 5 stars if it were not for the fact that the holder for the tablet is way too tighten, so you'll need to really do tremendous force for it to open in order to hold the table. I wish it had had a bottom that when pressed this holder would just open by itself. But overall it's a great product, and it's well built. This's the only complain I have about this product.

clip to the station is garbage and moves way to easy
my tablet seems to be almost too much for it to handle (Samsung galaxy book). clip to the station is garbage and moves way to easy. the arm part that goes into the base bent almost instantly making it trash! seems to move no matter how you tighten the arms the cup mount is worthless

Don’t buy. Doesn’t last long
Don’t buy. I bought it4 months ago and really liked it because it had the longest arm. But then the suction cup kept losing it’s grip on the desk. At first it fell every few weeks, then it began losing some of the gooey on the desk (no damage to desk) after that it wouldn’t even stay up a hour!
