Inspiring and practical guide
This book is both an inspiring and practical guide to bring the power of creative thinking to your business. As leaders, most of us want to think more creatively about our challenges and opportunities, but we don’t know how – or worse yet, we don’t think we’ve been given the “gift” of creativity. The fact is, we’re all capable of clever, inventive and innovative thinking if we can just figure out how to cultivate and call upon the many skills we already have.“In Your Creative Element” does just that. Claire Bridges, is a well-known creative guru. In her book, she identifies 60-plus qualities that are essential for creative thinking, along with advice and tips on how to employ these elements in your daily business. The concept is based on the periodic table of elements we all learned in chemistry class, which I think is very creative and memorable! It’s an easy read, and as you go along, you’ll recognize many of your own natural strengths, such as grit, collaboration, discipline, courage and curiosity. I particularly appreciate the section on creative leadership. I love this book, and it’s already helping me get unstuck in some business situations by trying a fresh, more creative approach.

At last, a really useful book. These days there seems to be a self help or ‘How to do” book covering almost every topic; building a better business, a better body, or even a better bank balance. However, it is rare to find one that is truly helpful. ‘In Your Creative Element: The Formula for Creative Success in Business;’ is a real find. Bridges has spent twenty years learning her trade, researching all the available literature and the result is a book which encapsulates all her knowledge in useful and relevant ‘bite-size’ chunks. A must for anyone or a business that is trying to find a new way to approach creativity.

Claire's energy and insight shine through
An insightful book and enjoyable read for business structure and personal development. I read it cover to cover and now dip in and out when I need (often). We could all do with more of Claire's energy and inspiration in our world more often, and with this book now we can - whenever we want.

As someone who works in the creative industries I've read a lot on this subject. What I like about this book is that it's easy to digest as I don't have time to read something cover to cover. I've dipped in and out of this and have found lots of useful, practical tips that I can apply to my client work day to day. If creativity is part of your life, then this book can help make you better at it. There is something for everyone from grads starting out to the most seasoned.

The very title and concept in itself - the scientific application of an all too often misunderstood and under appreciated subject in the workplace, is a credit to Bridges own creative ingenuity. It's engaging, very easy read and hugely inspirational to anyone keen to make a difference. Whilst I read it all in one go, it's the type of book that i know i'll dip in and out of often.
