I need it to 'prove' to my life insurer that I lead an active lifestyle, hence bought this as it was the cheapest device (white was cheaper compared to the black) compatible with the insurers website.Since March 2017, Fitbug do not directly sell the Fitbug Orb (or any other device) - they are now a Digital Wellness provider to companies (whatever that means).1. In order to track your steps, you must download the mobile app (Android & iOs) called Kiqplan and pair them using Bluetooth.2. Configuring the device can be a bit finicky, but once done have not had issues syncing.3. You would be advised to buy a CR 2032 battery (online) as 9/10 the one you receive will be discharged (mine was)4. I'd say the step count is accurate when walking, provided you configure your weight, height and sex.5. I can confirm, the step count is far from accurate when 'running' - there used be a 'Stride Extender' function which compensated to a degree in the previous Fitbug app. This is no more the case with Kiqplan.In conclusion, if you are a beginner unsure on whether you are disciplined to activity tracking - £20-£25 is worth spending on this device. If you are not tied down to product choice (there are other cheaper options too).PS: This specific purchase was a replacement for one that I'd been using for a few months. Note: I lost one owing to my own carelessness not any product design shortcomings. I wear the Orb on my belt or on my shorts (when running) - have not had a situation where it has popped out. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well. I did have some queries, which I emailed to the FitBug people, but they totally ignored me and have still not replied. Luckily, I knew someone who had one, so I was able to get some help. It is a simple design and comes with two ways to wear it. As a watch, which I found too bulky for my wrist, or in a clip that attaches to your belt or pocket. Beware, though, I did lose mine while walking (it was on the clip) so the clip may not be the most safe way to wear it. I just put my new one in my front pocket. I did find the "continuous streaming" mode didn't work and I have to press the button for it to send information to my phone. I don't mind, though, because it means the battery will last longer. It takes a small battery similar to the ones in car key rings, which is not rechargeable, but seems to be lasting quite a long time (the box says 6 months). Overall quite pleased, but I dropped a star for the poor customer service. ### ⭐⭐⭐ just OK- I question it's accuracy *by M***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 29 November 2014* I've been using the Fitbug for a few weeks now -it's OK for the price (£34 from Amazon) but I do have a few issues. First it's accuracy. I completed over 10km today but even though I've been wearing the Fitbug all day it says I've only done @ 4 miles! Secondly the strap has come undone a few times, third when I was out of the UK in Different time zone I could not see how many steps I'd done ,fourthly the face is easily scratched & last it's inconvenient for me that it's not fully waterproof. It was quite easy to set up & seems to sync ok with my 'phone.
