This battery powered switch is great. You could replace your normal switch with it ...
I had bought the same style switch previously but one that supposedly would power from the mains. As will all Mi-Light products the mains switch was a massive hassle and after many a day spent learning about circuits I ultimately found it couldn't work all the lights as one would always be needed to power it. This battery powered switch is great. You could replace your normal switch with it and it would go flat to the wall. I've currently got mine stuck above my old normal switches so it sticks out a little bit. It has made the mi-lights so much more user friendly. A must have addon if you have mi-lights.

One simple flaw..otherwise OK
I first of all ordered the mains power similar unit, but, no matter what I did, my MiLights would not connect - they just kept strobing. Would have been perfect for a disco, but terrible if you suffered from epilepsy. So I returned that, and tried my luck with this. Pairing was easy this time, and it looks stylish on the wall. However, my family have all commented on an irritating "fail". The panel has a touch-sensitive flat switch "master on/off", plus one for each of 4 zones. When you enter a darkened room, it is hard to locate the exact place to turn a zone on a specific zone - the glass panel is smooth, so you can't find out by "feel". Our room has 3 zones, and it always a bit random as to which one comes on! Some form of very mild illumination on the switch would help - though that may of course annoy in say, a bedroom. Alternatively, maybe small indents in the glass could overcome the issue. So far the switch has worked flawlessly in the month since I installed it, with no problem switching on/off at all (except for the above!)

Make sure you have the correct lights...
Beautiful controller - unfortunately I didn't read the produce information carefully enough and I can't use it all. Apparently required Mi-light branded LED lights to function. Sad.
