Amazon Basics High Density Foam Roller for Exercise and Recovery

The roller is firm, durable, and holds its shape even with regular use. This foam roller is well built. I was worried about quality when I ordered it, but was relieved when I received it and it was up to par with the big names. I’ve used this foam roller pretty hard and it is still firm and did not dent or break like some of the cheaper versions.

It was great while it lasted. It has a decent density when you don’t need the intensity of a harder foam roller. I’ve had this for 1 year and almost 3 months and I used it quite regularly for about 8 months and then sporadically for the other 7 months. Until the other day, it just broke in half suddenly when I was using it. I know this type of foam roller isn’t built to last like the higher quality ones but I didn’t expect this to happen. I think I’ll go back to spending more on the higher quality types so that they last longer because replacing it after just over a year of use isn’t practical for me. But overall, giving it 4 stars because it really did feel good as a deep tissue massage without being too intense.

It doesn't look like much, but it sure does the job. It's a foam roller like you find in a dance studio or gym, except you don't have to share it with a lot of other sweaty people. I can feel my spine getting aligned, and it has helped break up the myofascial buildup to release the muscle fibers. Surprisingly, the muscle tones show better now. If you are large and/or tall, this might be too narrow at 12 inches.
