Q: When does the light go out

The lights come on when in play/motion then go off when not in use. So far the lights still work on ours.

Q: What is the string/belt made out of?

I am not 100% sure what it is made of, but it is very durable. My daughter has used this frequently for about a year and we have not had any issues with it.

Q: Does one of the balls unattach from the string? I have the red set and it came that way and I am wondering why

Ours came like that too. I'm not sure why but my husband took a pair of needle nose pliers and pushed it in. Our son was happy with that.
