Mucky Nutz, Classic Face Fender

Good mudguard. Looks good , easy to fit and does the job

Got this to deflect some of the mud that's about this time of year, didn't want a full mudguard on the front. I didn't use the Velcro fixing that came with it, not sure how long it would last in water and mud, will put that to another use. I fixed it with four cable ties, looks like it's more secure that way. I left the tag bit on it, the bit that I assume is the fitting instructions, as it's a free couple of inches of protection I just left it on. Happy with this. It looks good (plenty of colours other than black) and helps keep some of the mud off my mush.

it is what it is ... a plastic mouldable fender for your bike ... comes with velcro but most of us who've owned before move to zip ties ... keeps mud and cr*p off the underside of your fork or if it fits at the back off the rear of the seat post and rear shock. basically ... it works ... it works very well ... it's secure, robust, easy to take on and off or swap to another bike, looks cool enough for a mud-guard and you can get it all diff colours to suit your needs. why not 5*s ... well, because it's a plastic mud guard cut from a giant sheet and it's around a tenner ... which is a p*ss take really. I will admit though to having cut my own versions of these in the past and whilst serviceable ... the manufacturers of muckynutz fenders have the plastic just right ... bends just enough, tough enough ,,, etc. buy one!

Added one of these to both of my bikes with very different fork sizes and fits them both very easily in 1 min (Fox Float 38 160mm and XFusion120mm). Amazing how something so small makes such a difference, really stops a lot of mud and water from hitting your bike and face! For me this is ideal on a enduro/downhill bike where you want something small and light.

it sorta stop the spray but at the same time it doesnt. its not really long enough ( not even on a 27.5") to reach the apex of the spray from a wheel. then if you go through a big enough puddle it funnels the water straight at your feet. but I bought it to stop stones chipping my fork and frame and it does that well.

Little different than the original cut, but still gets the job done. I always like a little bit of reflectivity in case I’m out at night. Good stuff.

Je suis très satisfait de mon achat du garde-boue noir Mucky Nutz. Son design minimaliste ne gâche pas l'esthétique de mon vélo et s'intègre parfaitement. L'installation a été un jeu d'enfant, rapide et sans tracas, ce qui est idéal pour quelqu'un comme moi qui préfère passer plus de temps à rouler qu'à bricoler. Ce garde-boue fait exactement ce qu'il promet, protégeant efficacement contre la boue et les projections d'eau. Je recommande vivement ce produit à tous les cyclistes à la recherche d'une solution simple et efficace.

As opposed to other reviewers, I intended to purchase the "Mucky Nutz Bender Fender", and not a handlebar although I have seen a picture of a handlebar in relation to this product... To clarify the issue, what you get when ordering this product is a "Mucky Nutz" brand, plain black "Bender Fender". It comes with instructions stuck to it on a sticker, and Velcro zip-tied to it for installation. That said, this is an extremely simplistic design, and it works well for what it's intended. I installed it on my Trek Remedy 27.5 and it has done well in protecting my forks and the upper portion of my down tube from mud and rocks. It will not protect the lower portion of the down tube, and it is not designed to. It is designed to protect fork shafts, and prevent mud from hitting your face, both of which it does. It stays out of the way, doesn't make any noise on bumps, and sticks and leaves don't get caught in it. The Bender Fender was pretty easy to install, and comes with enough Velcro to do the job. If you follow the instructions that are stuck to the fender, you will end up with the soft side of the Velcro against the paint on your bike! Nice! Tighten the Velcro enough and It forms well to the shape of the fork and gives good tire clearance. If you have realistic expectations of this product and take into account what its intent is, then you will be highly satisfied with this product.
