Ok if there's full sunlight
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Cute, didn't expect too much from the reviews. Works ok with full sunlight, stops and starts when clouds pass over

I tried two of these, since I really wanted to have a solar fountain in my birdbath. The first did nothing, sent it back. The second had a high spout which I was very excited about. I left for a few hours and during that time the water got low (not hard to do with a birdbath). After refilling it, it seemed to barely work. The sun has been beating down on it today, but it is barely shooting out anything. A very fussy unit. I'm sending this one back also.

This little fountain works great. As soon as the sun hits it
This little fountain works great. As soon as the sun hits it, it's off and spouting water. It even works intermittently when it's cloudy. I would suggest that if you use the fountain attachments, it works better in the pool than a bird bath because in the bird bath, the fountain spews the water and empties it pretty fast. What I did was not use any of the attachments in my bird bath, so it moves the water, but doesn't spray it out of the bird bath. Great little fountain and works exactly as they say it does. Also, remember to remove the clear plastic on top of the fountain plate before using it, otherwise it won't work right. It does come with a suction cup and clear string so you can keep it from moving around in the bird bath, but I didn't use it. I don't mind mine moving around the fountain.

Epic fail
If you can get conditions exactly right it performs just like the pix. That's a big "if". It needs pretty much full sun to run at all. Slightly dappled sun will get you a spurt every 2-3 seconds, but not enough pressure to use one of the fountain attachments. You need over 4" water. But the real problem is the pump stops running when the water heats up with sun exposure. If you can find a spot with uninterrupted full sun, all you need to do is run outside a few times a day and dump a bucket of ice in the water. Or only use it in cold weather? Then it runs like a champ. So mine runs great for an hour or two in the morning, then sits there looking broken the rest of the day.

Mighty Mini Fountain.
I love this little fountain. I was skeptical about it but was so pleasantly surprised. Like all solar charged item when it's dark, dreary, rainy, or cloudy it doesn't perform but when the sun is shining it will out do itself. With the heads on it will rise 1-2 ft. Very good for this mini fountain. It is small so can be used in any number of projects. For now I tried it in our deck bird bath for water movement. Didn't add a head because it is powerful enough to shot the water out and I didn't want it to go dry. So much fun to see running. So happy I PURCHASED IT.

It absolutely does what it says it does!
This is just too cute!Yesterday when I first went outside and before I put it in the water, I heard the little motor start up as soon as I hit my patio. I then placed the motor unattached from the panel in a pan of water and the water pumped fine, until I connected the panel with the little attachment on. It then began to just bubble up. I'd take it out the water, try different attachments, face it towards the sun, decrease the height of the water, and increase the height of the water, yet all it would do was bubble every second or so.Today, I went to water my plants and decided to put some water in the pan it was sitting in and it roared to life! The more water the higher the fountain!I see now, it does need to sit directly in the sun for it to work, but once it does it works very well. In order for it to last any length of time it would need to be sitting in quite a bit of water because sitting in my pan the water is evaporating pretty fast. All and all I love this little pump and will absolutely buy more! They would be too cute in a swimming pool!

Worked one day
Worked one day. It was in a 600 gallon tank but is just a floating disk. I tried all the troubleshooting recommended no help

Nice but............
Got it for our birdbath... works beautifully, much better than anticipated. The suction won't adhere to the bottom of the birdbath because it needs a smooth surface and it just kind of floats around which is fine.Yesterday it stopped working and we had a very bright day. .. seems the "lines" may be clogged but there is no way to take it apart to see
