I've been using my toolbox for many months now and I knew that it was going to last a long time when I got it. The metal is tough. I have accidentally bumped it into other things and it never took a scratch off the paint.If you need a tough toolbox that can handle any load you throw in it, give this one a shot. It's very easy to use and very solidly built. You will not regret it!

Various and sundry depictions of this item have shown it with and without an interior removable tray with handle. This item did not include the tray, which I would have much preferred to expand the toolbox's functionality. Other than that, I'm staisfied with the value proposition. Keep in mind these are not stackable.

Can't add much more to the other positive reviews other than confirm that the handle is NOT metal.I tested the handle with a rare earth magnet. There was a weak attraction to whatever the "chrome" coating is, but the magnet fell off quickly and stuck to the metal lid.

Construction quality was very good and size was right for what I needed but the advertised metal tray insert was not present. The Homak box it was shipped in had multiple labels on it like it had made the trip from Amazon and back several times. Returned for credit and will buy any brand elsewhere.

Appears to be made nice ! My son loved it ! He is attending trade school to become a mechanic so we decided to get this to have everyone sign it ! He will probably keep it in his car he said !

This tool box is excellent! The quality puts me in mind of the heavy-duty automotive tool boxes that my dad and brothers had in the 1950s and 1960s. The metal is heavy gauge, the box and inner tray are constructed and joined well, and the paint work is first rate. I got this for my husband's 60th birthday (you can tell I am a true romantic) and I'm sure that it will be handed down to his grandson a long time from now.

Low quality. Not as described. The handle is not metal. It is plated plastic. When the plating releases from the plastic, as it will from unlike materials, it will create a razor sharp hazard that will slice your hands. This is a dangerous and irresponsible design change that is not noted in the online description. In my opinion, Do Not purchase.

In my opinion...the tool box is very well made, and just the right size....I bought three each of them for my three young grandsons..filled them with the necessary tools one would need for small household & auto repairs. Searched all of my local big-box tool stores, nothing compared...it's very difficult to find an all steel toolbox...most have plastic shelves & handles. The Steel Handle is riveted into the lid, thus it's able to carry the weight of the box and tools inside. The inside shelf is also made of steel, painted the same as the box. I had monogrammed brass name plates made for the lid of each box...I think my grandsons will probably keep and use them throughout their lifetime. I was given a tool box by my grandfather...used it all through college to keep my car running...and still have and use it today.
