So i just got this for my niece's 5th bday. We live 250 miles apart and I thought what best way to stay in touch, so i dont have to wait for my sister to be free so i can talk to my niece? Yep i found this amazing solution and sure enough i decided to put it together before i put it in the gift bag.Weirdly enough i was able to pair it with my phone and my sisters phone. We both had access to the toy and access to add and deny friends.There are 3 buttons on the toy, friends, record, and listen. Sounds easy enough but at first it can be confusing when your not sure what is going on so you are going to have to do this with your child to ensure they get it, and get the most out of it.Pros: communication without giving your little child a cell phone. No data usage for the phone as it uses wifi. And very little learning curve to use the toy for a child thats maybe 4+. The toy notifies you when you have new friends (after the guardian accepts it on the phone app). The toy also notifies you when you have messages coming, or messages waiting to be heard. Messages coming are notified by "messages are coming", while messages already in the toy that are not heard sound like a little bell. When the child picks up the toy, the app will notify the adult the child is playing with the toy so you can quickly send messages. Messages on the app, you can save them or delete them.Cons: requires batteries (not sure how long they are going to last). It doesnt come with batteries, recommend you get rechargeable ones. You have to cycle through the friends list and wait for the right name to sound before you hit record, to send the message to that person. That can get confusing for a child.

Still figuring out how to pair. It is a great idea and will help significantly with communication with my child when it is up and running.

I use this to send messages to my daughter that lives in another state. We love it!

Way to complicated setup and use. A teddy and a watch phone is easier.

My husband travels a lot for work and this is a really great way for him to keep in touch with the kids. It was easy to set up and I haven't had an issue yet. I really like that it works over wifi as well. I highly recommend!

Not quite as user friendly as I had hoped.

This is the most fun toy to connect kids with parents and other relatives. I love it so much I have purchased 5. They are have been given coast to coast and are used even internationally.

Unfortunately, after many calls and emails- ours still doesnt work at all. The inside box blinks red and never gets past that point regardless of all the tips provided by the company. So now we are stuck with a really overpriced stuffed animal :-( highly disappointed
