If you're going vertical, use a little glue
I installed my grommets on the vertical panel of a hutch. The grommets are a little loose in the newly cut hole, but that could be the hole saw is not accurate. Regardless, you would rather the grommet fit loosely than so tight you cannot wedge it in. A little gorilla glue on the lip of the grommet snugged it up (painter's tape kept them in place until it dried). I also like the grommets are not very deep. This allowed placement on both sides of the hutch with no issues of protrusion on one side or the other. Overall, great value and easy installation.

The grommet states that it's for a 2" hole, however it's not a 2" dia grommet and doesn't grip nicely in the hole. It falls in loosely. The diameter of the item is 1.97". There should be slight interference so that it fits snugly. I had to build up it's diameter with masking tape to make a proper fit.

It makes what would be an unsightly hole in the desk or countertop more aesthetically pleasing.
It is exactly as it is described. That said, it is also just a little small on its inner circumference. To remedy that I had to put a layer of electrical tape around it to make it fit the 2” hole. This is a shortcoming I expected based on other reviews and can verify as being accurate now that I have them.Still, it does what I needed it to do and the fix was easy enough.

Fits perfectly
Very sturdy and perfect size. We built floating desks and wanted to take care of some of the wire clutter and to keep our desks looking nice and professional. These also protect the cables from rubbing on raw wood in cut out hole on the desk. The top is removeable from the bottom, you just slip your cords in the black bottom piece and put the top piece back on. Works great, thank you for a great product and reason prices!

This grommet allows you to run your cables and wires through your counter or desktop to receptacles or a CPU located below. It is a standard size so you can use a hole saw and it fits the hole perfectly

Very pleased
These worked out perfectly. I wanted them to fit a little tighter so I put a couple wraps of black electrical tape around them. If you want them to cut loose you don’t have to. Very pleased

Grommets are good.
I used those grommets for years and they do the job they were design for: -reducing the clogging of the desk from bunch of wires. Very useful pieces of everyday's life.
