Arrived broken
One of the shoe trees had a faulty spring. Once the front part was squeezed it didn’t want to spring back to “fill” the shoe. I had to send them back.I can confirm that these are a little oversized. I followed one of the previous comments and bought size 41-42 for my 43 size shoes. They fit perfectly. It’s worth noting that the cedar smell was pretty strong.

First pair good but second pair shape problem
I have been buying shoe trees a few pairs at a time to accommodate my shoe collection. he first pair I bought of this brand fitted quite wee - a little tighter than a previous shoe tree brand, which was good as I had a pair of Tricker's shoes that needed more tension across the length and vamp of the shoe. The second pair arrived today and I noticed that the heel section of the right she tree was misshapen - especially compared to the left heel. It basically too pointy and pushed the heel of my shoe out of shape when placed in to the shoe. I think I'll reconsider buying this brand again as a result of the poor fit....

Not True to Size
Good, strong cedar smell. Sturdy and with a split-toe construction. However, impossible to rate above a 2 due to them not being true to size, and far too big for the shoes. If they don't fit the shoe size they are intended for, what purpose do they serve?

As a shoe tree they work well
Just a shoe tree so what can you say, worked well with my large size 12 shoes, made well enough for a shaped block of wood! Doubtful if they are made from aromatic Cedar, I've never known Cedar to lose it's smell quite so quickly so probably just a softwood if that's your primary purchase reason...

Great fit and smell
I have now bought two pairs of these shoe trees. I usually wear a UK 10.5 and the 9.5-11 size ones are perfect. The mechanism seems fine and I expect it to last. The shoe trees are well made and the cedar smell is very nice. The smell was quite strong when they arrived, but toned down after a few days and is still noticeable and pleasant. I consider these essential for soft leather shoes. The shoe horn makes a nice air freshener for the cupboard too.

Not very considerate to the shoe
I got a new pair of shoes and a shoe horn was recommended because they would keep shape.I chose this brand with the added confidence the wood type will lower humidity and maintain freshness between uses. For the most part they do a really good job, but the Right foot one I got doesn't release the side spring easily and has snagged and torn the inside workmanship of the shoe.Quite the exact opposite of the long term care I wanted from shoe hornsCheck your stuff when it arrives and send it back if the mechanisms don't work - I learned the expensive way

Item of a sprung construction for both width and length of shoe.
Seems sturdy enough. Not sure how it will stand up to everyday use, but does'nt seem like too many components to go wrong with it. For the asking price I'd say it's a fair enough bet.The size I purchased was for shoe size 11.5 - 13.5, although my actual shoe size is 11-11.5. No problem in use, length and width easily compressible, providing a fair bit of pressure on shoe.

Exactly as advertised
Fits really well into shoes and possibly more importantly is easy to remove. Springs aren’t too aggressive so should keep shape of the shoe as intended. Shoe horn is nice addition, if a little thick.
