Well made and sturdy. I like the look and quality of the product.Much longer than my original 32" antenna. On my 2001 Ford F150 XLT it required one of the adapters provided with the antenna.I did a reception test before and after installation. With the original 32" antenna most stations had 5 bars, the maximum. After the replacement all stations lost one bar. Lets face it though, you go from a 32" antenna to a 14" antenna you expect to lose a bit of reception.If the reception loss is an issue, with the station/stations I listen to, then I may consider cutting my original antenna to an intermediate length to increase signal strength while still keeping the antenna from hitting the garage door.

14" antenna looks great, lost a little signal but that is to be expected. Following the instructions and applied painters tape to the house before tighten up so the finish would not be damaged. We will see how it last over time. Good news is I don't hit the garage door every time I pull in and out anymore.

I was excited to get a shorter antenna for my new 2018 F-150 that didn't scrape the top of the garage opening like the factory antenna. I did note that this antenna did NOT have the spiral design that specifically reduces wind noise, but didn’t think that a 14” antenna needed it. The day after installing the antenna I drove for an hour on the intestate at 65-75 MPH (75 is legal in Michigan) and there was a persistent high pitched whistle that was louder than the radio and other conversation in the cab. The next day I put the factory antenna back on and the whistle was gone on my next interstate trip. Also, the short antenna was bent from the head wind of the trip, must be made from poor quality materials that cannot stand up to hwy speeds.I returned the antenna for a refund under the "did not meet expectations" category.

I ordered it the day prior. It came in well packaged.The installation was straightforward. I used one of the appropriate adapters and it fit perfectly. The whole process took less than 10 minutes for old antenna removal and new one installed.The reception on my Truck radio is great I used auto program and it picked all the GM stations near and far. As well.as AM. stations.The package says to remove the antenna prior to entering a car wash. Here where I live they do it on request. I just use blue lock tight.I'm satisfied.

Bought this to replace the extra tall factory antenna that was constantly twanging off of garage doors and indoor parking and getting bent in the car wash. This one appears to be at about cab height so if the truck fits it should not catch. Matches style of the wound factory mast. Instructions did suggest removing before going through a car wash. WIll try to remember that but might want to pack a small wrench to be sure I can remove it before I hit the wash. Seems to pick up OTA stations as well as the original. Looks like it belonged there.

This was a perfect solution to the outrageous factory antenna. A lot of people have commented about a whistling noise and loss of reception which made me skeptical to buy but I have yet to have a problem. This includes going 80mph on the freeway and taking trips up into the mountains. I have reception just as far as I did with the factory antenna. The fact that it's flexible just makes it all the better.

Purchased 3 other antennas before getting this one for my F-150. Like many others, I was sick of my antenna hitting the garage door. Others that I bought and tried had poor reception. This one works great!! Reception is perfect, the antenna does flex in the wind, but returns to straight every time. Quite and no whistling noise. I am very happy with this purchase. Recommend to anyone with a stock F-150 antenna.

This is a really nice short antenna. It's a solid unit and has a few different sized adapters with it. I bought it for a 2015 Ford F-350 Lariat Crew Cab. It works very well for regular stereo reception but I noticed a significant decrease in the HD radio reception. It's understandable given how much shorter it is than the factory one. It is nice to not have it scrape the garage door though.Update: I stand by my statements on the reception. I did find the antenna had a hard time staying tight though. Seems the threads on the Ford adapter are just a tiny bit smaller than the factory antenna. Small issue, but caused some wobble for me when it loosened. Pulling a star for that.

Now I enter in my garage without that annoying scrape along the door. It installed quickly and I havent noticed any differences in reception.

The look is awesome but my reception is not as strong as factory original
