Designed for firing at cone 5 or 6, it delivers a broad palette of vivid colors and unique tonal effects, perfect for professional and hobbyist potters seeking food-safe, high-quality finishes with versatile textures and finishes. ## Description Unicorn is a glossy, opaque glaze formulated for mid-fire stoneware at Cone 5-6. It delivers full, even coverage with a smooth shine, suiting functional pieces, sculpture and classroom projects alike. Brush it on straight from the jar, or layer it with other glazes to explore new effects, testing first since results vary with thickness and firing. It's also available in dry form for potters who prefer to mix their own batch. Review: Not the same result - Tried with cone 5 and tried also with cone 6 just plain light baby blue. Tried with 3 coats and 4 coats same result Review: Beautiful color. But must dip it or brush 4-5 times. - I did mix a different glaze on top but the rest it's this glaze. Color comes out beautiful, but need to brush on it 4-6 times or dip it to get it this effect. Other wise it becomes a dark brown. ## Features - Our glazes made in the USA by expert potters. They are lead- , non-toxic and food safe (when properly fired and tested). - Our mid fire glazes offer similar color ranges to our low fire glazes, but also introduce interesting effects and tonality not available in low fire glazes when fired in a pottery kiln at cone 5 or cone 6. - Sometimes glaze contents will settle. That's normal! Ceramic glazes need to be fully mixed to ensure smooth application. - We recommend mixing for at least 1-2 minutes. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0C4M52C79 | | Brand | Penguin Pottery | | Color | Unicorn | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars (275) | | Date First Available | 30 May 2023 | | Item Weight | 730 g | | Model Number | PP-GZ-MH-339 | | Product Dimensions | 7.62 x 7.62 x 7.62 cm; 730 g | ## Images ![Penguin Pottery Unicorn Specialty Glaze - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71EUModh+hL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Not the same result *by M***M on 21 November 2024* Tried with cone 5 and tried also with cone 6 just plain light baby blue.
