It is not fireproof nor waterproof. Before putting anything important in it, I held the bottom corner up to a click 'n flame grill lighter (not even close to 2000°F). The black trim disintegrated, exposing the seam. Then I drizzled water along the seam and the water ran right through the seam into the bag.

Well, it may be that the inside is about 11" wide, but there is a caveat: The zippered opening at the top/end is barely 10" wide, so limiting that a standard ring binder that holds 8-1/2x11 paper will not fit through the zipper opening. No way to get my valuable binder stored. I'll probably ditch the binder, put the papers into a plastic sleeve and make do with that.Just a heads up, depends upon what the user wants to put into this thing.

I needed something to hold my cash and important papers that would protect them from fire and water where I have them stored. This seems to fit the bill (no pun intended) and its not a heavy metal case I have to lug around. Everything fit into it just fine and the bag is easy to carry. I can't say what would actually happen in a fire or flood and hope I never find out, but I'm happy and will recommend the bag to others. I like the temperature rating of 2000 degrees which influenced my choice. It is also easy to store since it is bendable, not like a metal container which has no give. All in all a very great product. I may order another for myself and gifting.

I just received one of these bags and decided to test it. I put about 15 pages of 8 1/2 x 11 paper inside and sealed it up. I then held a fire place lighter (lit of course) about 3" under the bag. Within 3 minutes the smoke was just rolling out of the bag!! I let the bag cool and then opened it up. The paper inside was destroyed. The only good news is that the bag IS fireproof. It was in good shape. So the bag is fireproof but lets the heat proof. Not Good

I ordered this fireproof bag to hold important documents such as will, car title, insurance info etc...… thinking it can be placed inside a safe and will have important documents in the same place and easily accessed in case of an emergency. I am pleased with the quality of the product.

Was looking for something small that was fireproof and this fits the bill! Made well and allows me to store important papers inside. I am not sure how fire/water proof it is and hope to never have to find out. But, in an emergency, it has a handle and being that I store it in an easy access spot, it would be easy to grab it in case of emergency. The only complaint I have is that I need to slightly bend folders to get them inside - I wish the zipper opening was slightly wider. But, once inside, the folders and documents fit perfectly!

We purchased two of these and are pleased. They can hold a ream of paper, protect documents, photos, or whatever is on them to degrees much higher than most other fire-proof protection products, and they are waterproof. Because of the way they are made, being lightweight, they are handy and we are much more confident about keeping our important papers safe during a fire or hurricane.

I feel like its well built and the materials are great. Another reviewer actually set it on fire and poured water on it. I haven't done that so I can't really attest to its efficacy but I put this into my safe as a double protection for my docs and so I dont really feel the need to go through all the testing. Its a great bag for what Im using it for and it gives me and extra feeling of peace of mind.
