**Q: How many do you get**
A: 48

**Q: are they loose**
A: No their not loose and they r plastic. I ordered them for a world war II shelter project I glued them around the shelter they served their purpose  and stuck down well with strong glue. The pic is misleading they come on sheets  a bit like toy solider sets. I hope this is helpful.
