Hawaiian Kona Coffee (GOURMET BLEND) Whole Bean, Rich Medium-Dark Roast Flavor, 1 lb.

First noticed amazing aroma and nice big beans with a pretty color. Great detailed packaging helps anyone brew the perfect cup! Really good clean and strong body taste. Now for the criticisms, I did not get medium roast but didn't mind the medium dark to dark roast as I custom grind coarse to get good flavor and body not grinding fine as this would dramatically change the flavor profile. Next is the claim to be a limited edition. How does the consumer know it's limited? I searched on the bag and couldn't find any information for this claim, did I miss something? Last is price point... at twenty bucks a bag, some coffee lovers will miss out on trying this coffee. This, in my opinion is a huge factor because there are endless amount of coffees for the consumer to buy that are cheaper or around the same price and taste better than this one. I will not suggest other coffees because my review is for this one, that said...if you get a chance and money, try this tasty cup of java...I think you may like it!

I've only recently started grinding my own beans so I might not be the best reviewer of this yet. My wife said this coffee was too strong for her so I grinded it very course and stopped the percolator early to limit the brew time and that seemed to lighten it a bit. I also noticed when I used cold water in the percolator that it seemed over extracted and tasted burnt. Using luke warm water fixed this. When brewed this way there are subtle berry notes to this bean. Very smooth.

Really wonderful blend - even better tasting than some 100% Kona. I have been drinking premium coffee for years and this ranks right at the top. They got the blend just right. I would buy this over some 100% Kona coffees. Absolutely perfect.

I ground up some beams and brewed them. The coffee tasted like soap. I rinsed everything that touched the beams then brewed another of coffee. Same results, same taste. I can only conclude that something happened in the packaging that affected the beans.

Coffee was delicious. Great flavor. Good value.

Shipment was timely. The coffee was noty what I expected for a 'Kona Type' coffee. Certainly was not "Rich Medium-Dark Roast Flavor". I have had better Kona coffee through Amazon.

I really enjoyed this Kona blend. It's very tasty, balanced, and light on the acidity. While it's not 100% Kona, the blend is pretty darn good, and it is priced low enough to be an every day coffee.

EXCELLENT Coffee!!! Well worth the $$$...
