I did a-lot of research - This is the one if you don't want to spend on Mopar
I did a-lot of research - and asked on Wrangler forum. This is the one you want. if you don't want to spend the money on Mopar. It had a great build quality in my opinion and has been holding up great for about 6 months now since my old one failed.

It's a water pump alright
Fit perfectly fine on my 04 wj, metal impeller. As others say, the supplied gasket feels flimsy.. but, since someone none of the parts stores near me had one for a 4.0 in stock, I sent it anyways. Used a thin coat of rtv on both sides and torqued to gutentight spec. Also replaced tstat gasket and rad cap with a Mopar unit at the same time. Works like you'd expect, all factory bolts fit like they should, other than pulley bolts. Have to use the ones supplied in the kit.A little tip to make removing the shroud super easy - use a hacksaw blade and just cut the plastic tab off on the PITA bolt. You know the one. Can easily access the other 3 10mms. Shroud comes off in about 15 mins.

Worked as specified on my 2004 Jeep TJ Wrangler Unlimited (LJ)
I installed this in my 2004 Jeep TJ Wrangler Unlimited (LJ) and it worked as specified. Mine had a metal (aluminum) impeller. The stock unit, which lasted 113,000 miles, had a plastic impeller. I also purchased a Fel-Pro water pump gasket. I used thread sealer and torqued all the bolts to specification and in correct order.I used a shop towel to fill the opening where the impeller goes into the engine. This is to keep debris out as you have to scrape off all of the old gasket material. I used a scraper with a new razor blade. Be careful not to gouge the metal on the engine. Take your time and do a good job or you will likely have leaks. When you pull out the shop towel, make sure no debris got in. You can pick it out or use a wet/dry vacuum if needed, but no foreign material should go in the engine.Note: If you do this yourself, you will need to remove the fan blade and fan clutch. The fan requires a special fan removal tool, however, I was able to use a "monkey" (pipe) wrench instead. If I ever do this again, I will get the proper tool. The clutch will have to be removed from the old pump and bolted to the new pump. I reused the original bolts with no issue. You will also have to disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator and remove the serpentine belt. Additionally, you will need a ratchet or breaker bar to relieve the tension on the belt. The "belt tensioner", which keeps the belt tight, has a small square hole for this. After everything is installed and connected, you will need to top off your coolant. I used Zerex G05 as it is the type specified by Mopar. You can get the coolant premixed 50/50 or full strength, which you will have to mix yourself depending on where you live and the season. I'm in South Florida, so 50/50 is perfect all year. Only use distilled water if you are mixing your own.It took me about 4 hours in my driveway start to finish. I am not a mechanic, but I always triple check my work and use a Chilton's manual, Jeep forums and Youtube to learn how to do these repairs. Use the manual for all your torque specs...always torque properly. Never guess! If you have any questions, post them. I'll do my best to answer them.

Great price on a good water pump.
I ended up with two of these, and the other one got installed first, before I got there with this one. The price was great, the service was great, the return was easy and quick. I like this company, and the way they do business. If I need anything I will buy it here again.

Great pump, crap gasket
Gasket (regular paper one) supplied leaks even on prepped surfaces. Get a Fel Pro one at the same time. Included bolts replace the stock pulley bolts (different thread).

Perfect replacement
Fit and worked perfectly.

Gates Quality
Easy to install once you get the fan shroud off. Do yourself a favor and leave the left lower bolt out of the shroud for the next time you need to remove it. I've replaced the fan 3 times .

Test fit
Pump is new not remanufacture, looks heavy duty compared to old pump. Only issue, the thread for the heater hose pipe are not cut deep enough. I had to cut them in with a tap.

Disappointed. It did not come with heater pipe.
I don't think the heater pipe is part of the package any longer. At least not in Canada. I ordered this and it came without it. So I put in for a replacement and that one came without the heater pipe as well. It looks like a quality part and there's value with included gasket and bolts so Im keeping this one and bought the pipe that's here too. Where this is a budget repair, I'm way ahead of the game. Dealer wants as much for the pipe as I paid for this pump.

Great packaging
Packaging was really good on this, protecting the impeller and providing a gasket. Only think of was they supply bolts for your pulley instead of using your old ones.
