I was diagnosed with PTSD about a year and a half ago and frequently experience both night terrors and panic attacks. My boyfriend and I were doing some research into some things that might help control these, since they have become so life disrupting. This helps me get under control when I have panic attacks, and I started sleeping with it - and I've noticed I sleep through the night and my nightmares aren't coming every night and have actually become a lot less disturbing. Using a weighted blanket has helped me restore a quality of life that I had largely lost, and this is the first one I've ever tried. No problems with the quality or durability. I'm really glad I decided to give it a try.

Bought the 14 pound weighted blanket and I love it! Really does help me to fall asleep quicker as I have issues with anxiety/stress issues that love to pop up as I'm trying to get some shut eye.To give some feedback as to how this covers a person: I'm 5'6" and 180 on a bad day - I can lay this over my body and it covers my feet up to my shoulders. Don't have to worry about rolling around as the blanket does a good job keeping you in place (until you pass out and start thrashing like I do).The material itself does feel like sand almost, but as the vendor said, it's micro-beads. Not a bad thing - just something I noticed. While the material isn't going to be as soft as some 8000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, it's still very comfortable. I have slept using just the blanket on top of me overnight with zero discomfort.I would recommend a duvet cover though as I doubt most weighted blankets will survive a washer/dryer (due to the weight being tossed around each machine).Price point is excellent too as I found this to be cheaper than the other blankets I had been looking at on Amazon and elsewhere.

Blanket exceeded expectations. The weight was evenly distributed, and the stitching was top-notch. And added bonus, the fabric is soft too. I’ve only washed the blanket once, but stitching and material appear to be holding up and seem good as new. Definitely recommend this blanket for stress relief, especially for children as they won’t grow out of the design in a few years like with most kids’ blankets.

I have been having trouble sleeping due to anxiety and decided to try a weighted blanket. It took some getting used to but I have noticed a huge difference and now I cannot sleep without it. Love the look and feel of this blanket. Really a great product at a great price!

My daughter loves this so far. We picked this mostly bc it was a nice color. It looks like denim which is a nice change from the back, gray, or neon colors you usually see. It seems to be helping her calm down. So far, we have had not issues with the beads but we have not washed it yet so I don't know how it will hold up.The quality is good and for the price, it's hard to beat.It was a little smaller than I thought but that is totally my fault for not reading the description thoroughly. The size is more like a toddler crib size blanket.

I really wanted to love this. I really did. Size was spot on, color is awesome I wanted something that looked denim and this fit the bill! However even with out washing it yet and using it for 4 nights in a row it is leaking something out of the seams. I used a old full sized duvet cover and doubled it up to make sure I didn't ruin it and keep it clean.I wanted so much to love this for myself and to buy 2 additional ones for my children who both have ADHD and anxiety.

Yes, it is cotton, hence the 2nd star, however, the pockets are large, 5", and the tiny weighted beads simply float around into lumps in corners of pockets, some pockets have no beads at all, so when the blanket is on top of a body all the beads go to the edges, no weight on top at all. Very disappointed. A simple heavy blanket has more weight than this. Pay attention to the measurements, it is very rectangular, not square or blanket like.

This is a godsend. I have MS and it helps to decrease spasticity. It's also very grounding and comforting. Note that it's warm as a wonderful blanket would be.
