Tumi V3 Short Trip Expandable Packing Case, Deep Blue, One Size

Great product overall. Light weight, stylish, and easy to maneuver. Really wish it didn’t get dinged up and scratched every single trip.

To my surprise, I experienced a complete paradigm shift with this new Tumi V3 mid-sized suitcase. I'd been happy enough with my older Victorinox bag, but wanted to swap it for something on double-casters. WHAT A DIFFERENCE from hauling a 2-wheeler bag with the full weight tugging on one's arm & shoulder. I'm SUPER happy with many things about this Tumi bag by comparison:1.) Color - Gone are the days of boring BLACK. I'd resorted to color bands on my old bag just so I could spot it tumbling down the carousel, but now, I just look for the only mink-brown bag among hundreds of others.2.) Double-casters - Just night & day difference in mobility and comfort!!! When traveling, most surfaces will be smooth at airports, sidewalks, subways, trains, hotel lobbies, etc., These wheels are SO easy to move that I can practically push my bag with my pinkie finger, no kidding! On carpets it's a different matter, but even there, I am no longer yanking the bag behind me groaning in pain with the weight on one arm only.3.) Simplicity of design - I actually got used to having just the one main zipper access! After all, you only need ONE lock if that's the case. This bag has a hard shell, so there's no outside pocket in which to put anything. Instead, I used my fanny pack or day pack for things I needed to get at.4.) Double-sided case - Unlike my old Victorinox, this bag opens down the middle. Initially, I was VERY leery of that design - like a throwback to suitcases from the 1960s! But after just one hectic, 3-week trip to Japan, I'm SOLD. This is the way to go. I zipped my Eagle Creek clothing envelopes into one half of the bag, along with some small Eagle Creek stuff sacks for soft items. The other side - which holds things in with a stretchy strap - was for larger Eagle Creek bags, strapped in 3 across. There was also room for my Scrubba washbag & laundry supplies as well as odds & ends that could be held by an X-shaped compression strap. Finally, a slim, zipper pouch attached to the divider held flat items like cards, brochures, etc., even a small, flat evening bag.In every way, shape and form, the design of this Tumi bag made my travel super easy! Gone are the days when you unzip a bag and have to lift out HALF the contents to get at your clothes underneath - WHERE to put all that stuff that has to come out of the bag? The Tumi bag, which zips down the middle is simply way more functional for getting at things on either side of the bag.I returned from 3 weeks, 6 flights, 6 luggage carousels, a dozen train rides, and nearly 18 hotel rooms with my bag looking nearly new. I wiped it down with a sponge and VOILA - good as new. :-)

Unique look. Very practical. Lightweight & maneuverable. Great combination of hard case & flexibility. The price is steep but our plan is to never buy luggage again, rather than buying cheap, fabric cases and replacing them every so often when they got dirty & smelly.

The suitcase was not new. It had scratches all over it. The corners and gouges in the corners.Definitely not in new condition.

This product is not carry on size, it is one inch bigger than normal carry on size.

Falling apart already... is not a real Tumi.

Light weight, traceable and you can fit a lot of clothes in this luggage
