Enslaved (The Last Orphans Book 3)

LIES!Another example of an author who is so innumerate that they do not appear to be aware that a TRILOGY numbers THREE books. I purchased this as I was enjoying the story, the second book was left on something of a cliffhanger and I wanted to know what happened. Assured that this was the 'final book in the Last Orphans trilogy', I was disgusted to find that there will be yet another book in this series. The first two were excellent, but the third one, aside from the stated reason to provide a measure of closure to the story, I found overly militaristic and quite frankly boring. I am not fond of military action in books or games and preferred the desperation of attempting to survive in the earlier two books. With the exception of the already overtrained Russians, the characters are not natural soldiers aside from one girl who had wanted a career in the military, however, they are now miraculously fully trained super soldiers which to me, seems completely unrealistic (This is conveniently explained by the aliens' advanced technology enabling mental downloads). I hope the fourth book will be the final one. A good story taken too far.

I pre-ordered this book and was not disappointed, I can not wait for the next book in the series to be released although some book series can be painful I have not found that with any of this series so far. I utterly enjoyed the concept that we are not only not alone in the universe but that the children who are the future are the ones fighting. I can not thank the author enough for sharing the author enough.

I enjoyed this book, the final in the trilogy but the bad use of grammar at times jarred. The past tense of shine is shone not shined or shinned. One error is acceptable but it was throughout the whole text. Proofreading needed to be better imho

Brilliant. Kept me turning page after page. Gripping story line. Definitely not the ending I expected. Can't wait for the next one.

I am afraid to say that I am still trying to finish this book. The first one I enjoyed, the second one I tolerated and this one I just find totally boring.

I received this book to give an honest review.I have to say this one was not my favorite. It felt like it took me forever to read it and truly invest within the story line. I am not sure really what happened but this story did not work for me in the series like the others did.I would highly suggest that if you have read book two and it has been a while that you maybe go back to that one and read the last chapter so you are not lost on this one.So now the enemy has taken hostage a few of the soldiers with their mind. They can see everything going on around them and they are doing unspeakable things that they would normally never do. There is just nothing that they can do to stop it. Really stinks. Shane and his friends will stop at nothing to make this alien race is destroyed and save those that are mind slaved. There of course will be death and happiness. Shane really learns to make decisions in this one which is good for him. I really wished I could have enjoyed this book like the other two but it just was a blah for me. There was plenty of action within the story. Just felt slow maybe for me. I will try book four and see if these aliens can be stopped.

This was a very good book 3, however, it was meant to be the last, but we have to wait for book 4... that is annoying.Battles rage, complications set in and feelings run high as Shane, Kelly and friends are caught in a race against time for different directions.This book delves deeper into the invading race to show just how despicable they are. It does have mystery, suspense and horror, and is well-written (apart from typos).Certainly engaging but disappointing that it didn't actually end...not a complete set as advertised. Let's hope it's not too long before the next.
