I've used this unit twice so far, and I find it amazing. When I purchased it, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The first time, I set the temperature too low. I prefer around 130°F to 140°F, but I had to gradually work up to that temperature.Here’s what I experienced:1. At first, my body temperature was uneven—my legs and chest felt cooler than my stomach. I could feel the heat being absorbed into the cooler areas first.2. Over time, my body became a uniform temperature from my neck to my toes. I expected to feel like I was "cooking," but instead, something else happened.3. I automatically entered a meditative state, somewhere between being awake and asleep.4. I developed a light sweat.5. After about an hour, I wanted to get out. I’m 6 feet tall and 290 lbs. While the blanket isn’t tight, it’s not as loose as being in bed.6. My core remained warm throughout the night.7. The next day at work, people joked that they should drug test me because I was so relaxed!I would definitely recommend this product. More expensive models are made of leather, but this one works great.One thing to note: when the timer expires, the controller shuts off the power. At first, I thought the unit was broken, but it worked fine the next day.

A convenient, portable and inexpensive sauna. I use this daily to assist with a health condition, it is a time and life saver for me. I don't have to travel to the gym, I can watch videos, work or sleep while I use the sauna.While this is a great option, it is not as quick to cause a big sweat as a true sauna that I have used at gyms. I end up being in this sauna about 50 minutes and the pajamas I wear while using it are totally soaked. It is nice to have the head out in the cooler air to breathe, unlike a regular sauna where I am also breathing the very hot air.This sauna does have one interesting flaw, the count down timer on it is inaccurate. It is just a number from zero to 60, doesn't say minutes or anything, but one would assume it is in minutes...but it is not, they are slightly less than a minute. So if you set the timer to 60 minutes, you actually get about 50 minutes of time. Still it is not a big enough issue as to give this unit less stars, you just adjust.

No smell. Works best for me with heat on high zippers all zipped up. When you leave the arm zippers all open it tends to let out a lot of heat. But when all is zipped up, perfect sauna! Time will tell on longevity but hopeful! Have used three times and so far sooooo good!

This is not a premium sauna blanket with a premium cost. It's affordable and works. It doesn't get as hot as I would like. It also has hot spots. It was easy to set up, basically I just unrolled it on the (carpeted) floor. I'm 5'10" and the size is good for me.There is the classic plastic smell known to be found in products from certain locations in the world. And it transfers to you so plan on showering after use.I wish the controls weren't tied to the bottom of the blanket. The cords are long enough, but is poor design. If it was closer to the top then the heating element cords wouldn't need to be that long.

I don't have any pain so that's not what I use this for. I use it to strengthen my primary (innate) immune system.I find it very comfortable for me. I am 5'3" so this fits perfectly. My hubby who is 5'11" and is rather skinny, has a harder time to fit into it! So make sure you know your size! Your width can take up a lot, so if you are overweight, it is fine, but you need to look at your height and may not fit into it comfortably. If you are taller than 5'11" I would not recommend this one even if you are skinny. Look for an extra large size.The hand controller is a bit clumsy and is definitely on the wrong end of the sauna blanket. It seems that all the electrical stuff starts from the bottom, so at your feet area. If you use this on top of your bed, like I use it, all my electrical outlets are at my head and not my feet. The cords are long enough though--just barely--to reach but it is slightly awkward. They should have put the controller and all cords at the head area instead.The heating elements in the blanket get very hot, so I use a towel under me and I am fully closed, else I would end up with some burn marks. I put it on the hottest though to get the most benefit.I have used the t now for 4 months and I very much enjoy it. Twice I used it when I felt I was coming down with something and had a little temperature and in both cases my bug vanished by the next day.It is also very comfortable and relaxing. I strongly recommend it. I love reading in it.Oh: important. Remove your watch and any fitness measuring device you may have on before you get into this. And don’t forget to take the phone out of your pocket!
