We purchased this to protect our garage walls from the constant hits from pucks. It works great! Best purchase ever! One thing we did not realize when purchasing was it required sandbags to hold the side flaps in place, but we got around that by putting other hockey sticks through the sandbag hole. Seems to work fine. It’s also easy enough to move around, so if we need to get it out of the way, it isn’t much trouble. Fits nicely on a standard net.

I was looking for a backstop that takes up very little storage space and that can be set up and taken down quickly. The Franklin backstop meets these criteria. It takes about 2-3 minutes to set up with the tent pole fastener already attached to the back of the net. Set up involves inserting tent poles into the fastener, hooking the net onto the poles, arranging side sand bags, and fastening backstop netting to goal with clips. The backstop handles wrist shots and slappers. Sometimes the backstop swings from high powered shots, but it does the job without damaged netting. The backstop provides good coverage around the sides and top of the goal. The only downside is that the clips are not very robust. Two clips no longer stay shut. I'll replace them with more rigorous clips. Overall, I am pleased with this backstop. If you don't want to store a big backstop, but want something that is reliable and easy to set up, this may be for you.

Worked for about a month before it fell apart. May be good for younger shooter(squirt, pee wee). My son is a bantam moving up to midget and his slapshots completely took this thing out.

So far it’s working great, have had it about a week with daily use. It went together pretty quick, I loaded the sand bags up with rock since I’m using it in a back yard rink and the sides stay in place. The bags attach to the net with Velcro, two strips on the bags sandwich the one on the net, the Velcro holds really well. The only downside: it’s cumbersum to move. I have to remove the sand bags then move the net unless I have help. Other than that it stops the pucks and has no issues with slap shots. If things change I’ll update the review. Also this is my first backstop, I have not used the EZ Goal backstop to compare, that one just looked harder to attach to the goal and not as robust.
