TENDO SY-123 Handheld 2-Inch Packing Tape Gun Cutting Dispenser

My most recent purchase of this product was my third of this brand. Our business ships out a dozen packages every day and this is our tape dispenser of choice - feels sturdy, comfortable to use, and extremely sharp.No, really, EXTREMELY sharp. I had a slip-up with this and got cut. I have gotten cut on tape dispensers before, but usually its either one cut or more of a scrap because the blades are sharp-ish but not sharp enough to cut through skin very well. This baby made 15 deep, surgically precise cuts spaced about 1/16" apart. It sucks, but at the same time I am fascinated that something could be so sharp that it could cut like that.Great tape dispenser, just don't do what I did.

Everything I have ever dreamed of in a tape dispenser. If you have ever used the dispensers that come with a roll of tape at the store and thought even for a moment "why can't they do better than this?" then you need to look no further than here. I sell and ship things all the time due to my personal hobbies and I've decided that frustration from taping up boxes is no longer something I care to deal with. This tape dispenser is absolutely worth its cost because it transforms a mundane and always frustrating procedure into a completely effortless joy!! To be absolutely clear, I bought this product after searching for the best tape dispenser I could find, and I provided this review with NO solicitation from the manufacturer and absolutely no benefit to me! I am just really delighted by this thing.

This is probably the worst tape dispenser I've used, and I've used everything from the Scotch ones that come with the roll of tape to fancy industrial ones. It's hard to load the tape under the holder tabs (which prevent tape from sticking to itself again), then when you finally get it, and use the dispenser, the tape becomes dislodged from the holder tabs again and you find yourself picking at the roll to get the tape... then back to trying to insert it under the tabs again. It also doesn't give you an even pull of the tape, so you end up with a piece that's too short, then you pull it, and it's way too long. Garbage! This thing is going back.

One of the best handheld dispenser i have ever used. Very sturdy, very high quality made in Korea. Im a lefty, it was awkward most of the dispenser out there designed for right handed but this one is for both left and right handed, This hold a 2'' width and 3'' core tape.

If you struggle with your hand/held tape gun for packing, this is the easier one to use. I love it. The guides where the tape come off the roll keep it from slipping back on the roll. I usually store it by pulling out about 4 inches of tape and folding it around the bottom of the tape holder for use next time. It easily cuts off the tape. My old tape gun wasted way tooo much tape. This one is sturdy and very easy to use. I would recommend. I am not being paid for my review. It also helps to have quality tape like Tape King Clear Packing tape.

This item is great. However, if you can afford the price difference, the more expensive premium is rubberized in the grip area, which makes it easier to hold (and it comes in colors).

This dispenser has a better feel than the bulky long handled one I had been using. My biggest complaint with the previous model was that the tape was always getting stuck on it or twisting tape during use causing some serious wasting of tape. So far, with this new one,that hasn’t been a problem.

I can't understand all the good reviews! I loaded up the tape, tried to start it on a package, but tape lead isn't in right position to self start. You have to start the application by hand! I usually use an American made dispenser on Amazon for $5.61 (less than half price) that works perfectly. I tried this one out of curiosity because of good reviews. It is made well, although little complicated compared to others. Am I missing something?
