DynastyMattress Medium Soft Gel Memory Foam for Bed | 14.5-Inch | Queen Mattress

1. I don't work for any mattress company, I'm a standard blue-collar average guy. 2. This advice applies to any foam-type mattress. I bought a king-size 14.5" medium soft Cool Breeze mattress after doing as much online research as I could because I'm the kind that reads all the reviews, goes to youtube and watches all the videos, and still Googles the product for whatever I can find. Both of us are side sleepers, she has back and neck issues affecting her sleep terribly. We can afford to spend much more than we did, but it's completely unnecessary with modern technology and the fierceness of the competition in the mattress industry. Only the best will be able to thrive in this environment and Dynasty has been around for 16 years as of this writing and that says something in and of itself. I'm not shilling for them, but I will praise this particular product. It's heavy, 100 lbs of a foam bed. That only matters a little bit but a light mattress probably won't be the best built or last too long either. 100 pounds of foam is a LOT of foam condensed into a king size frame. My box was in decent shape considering it's travels, box damage is not a manufacturers fault per se., usually a shippers negligence. It was well-packaged and undamaged upon arrival. Mine had no discernable odor upon opening to either of us so that was also a nonissue. Keep reading here comes the important part... let it expand for a reasonable amount of time on your foundation. It has millions of compressed tiny foam cells that need to "reinflate" in order for it to get to the level of softness you ordered. That takes time but it's well worth it. You will read reviews saying, "my mattress is too firm" and "its not as soft as they said." It takes time and patience but allow this to happen for best results. Keep reading please... You know that favorite pair of shoes you cherish? They are a few years old and oh so comfortable... When you bought them they were brand new and it took a while to wear them enough to break them in but when you did they became amazingly comfortable. A mattress, any mattress, is no different. Now that you allowed it to expand properly you lay down on it and uh, its a bit firmer than you wanted and omg you're so disappointed now. Don't be. It's going to take about 60 days for the mattress to break in, for your body to adjust to it and for it to adjust to your body. Over the course of that 60 days it will SLOWLY soften up to that medium soft feel you paid for. Most of that will happen in the first two weeks or so depending on the temperature of your home, but my home is kept at refrigerator temps and it will take a bit longer because its high density foam. Simply laying on it and sleeping on it will accomplish this fine over a period of time but if you want to speed up the process you can crawl on the mattress on your hands and knees two or three times a day for just a few minutes and that will speed it up a bit. You don't have to do this, this will just speed it up. Again, a bit of patience goes a long way. This goes for any foam mattress not just this one. The mattresses in the mattress store are all nice and soft because 50 people a day come in and lay on them and wiggle around so they have a good bit of break in already. It's really that simple. 60 days to make it right and about two weeks to get it started feeling right. Give it time and patience as hard as that is and the mattress will return the love back to you for years to come. I hope this helps. I didn't come up with this process, I read about it and it works. The one and only negative thing I would say is "plush" isn't really the best description for this bed and is misleading. The top layer dose feel soft and plush but the supporting layers are more firm. Over all giving the mattress a more medium-firm memory foam feel. Though I am very pleased with the bed as I went in knowing it may fall on the firmer side from reading the reviews (always always read reviews!!). Though this is definitely not "hard as a rock" as one user described, however it is not plush like a cloud either. Think firm foam mattress with medium-soft topper, kinda best of both worlds in my opinion. Support of a firm mattress but that nice soft feel of a plush one. :) Great quality for an affordable price and have been sleeping quite well! While I move a lot and occasionally sleep on my side I primarily sleep on my stomach and back. IF YOU ARE PRIMARILY A SIDE SLEEPER!!! I don't think this bed will be the best for you, while I find this bed very comfy for stomach and back sleeping I don't think there is enough sink for side sleepers. But if side sleeping is minimal (as it is for me) then there is no issue its not enough to cause a problem unless you spend most of the night on your side. If you are looking for a memory foam that you sink into and get absorbed by this is also not the bed for you. If you are looking for a firm supportive bed with a soft top feel (over all medium-firm) then you have found a bed that you may like! The cover over the mattress is also really nice and soft and looks durable. I did not try removing it but it is removable which makes for easy washing. As some users mentioned the box was a bit beat up, however inside the bed and pillows were very nicely sealed in plastic so the product itself was safe. I did not notice any chemical smell like others had mentioned but I also did not bury my face into my mattress. It has only been a week and a half but I am very very pleased with the bed and glad I went with a more affordable high quality bed versus an over priced name-brand mattress. I will update if my opinion of this mattress changes at all but as of right now I am very happy with my purchase! My only feedback to dynasty would be to make their description more accurate so they don't get people who are unhappy because they were expecting a softer mattress! (p.s. my two cats also are pleased with the bed. Queen is an acceptable size for me, my partner and my two cats)

This was our 3rd foam mattress we tried since making the decision that it was time to replace our 9 year old foam one, which we loved but it had lost it's firmess and was hurting our backs. We initially replaced it with the same brand but the new version developed permanent body depressions within weeks of owning it even though neither of us is overweight ( husband weighs 175lbs and I weigh 135lbs). Second mattress we tried that was described as firm, was way too soft and very light weight, which when it comes to foam mattresses equates to low quality/low density foam. Then bought this mattress based on a friend's good experience with this brand, all the beds in her home and vacation home have Dynasty mattresses on them and everyone finds them very comfortable and after 2 years, none of them are developing body depressions. We have only been sleeping on this one for 2 weeks now, but so far both my husband and I are finding it extremely comfortable and are sleeping very well on it (we are both back and side sleepers). I would describe it as firm but with just enough surface softness to mitigate developing pressure points that can cause tossing and turning. I would say that if you are someone who likes to sink into a mattress you will probably find this too firm for you. If you have lower back issues, like I do (had surgery to remove herniated disc in low back) though I would highly recommend this mattress. With our old mattress I was starting to wake up throughout the night with back pain and upon rising in the morning my back would be extremely stiff and sore. Now I'm sleeping through the night with no pain and waking up with no back stiffness at all. My husband, who is mostly a side sleeper is also finding he is having a much more restful sleep with less tossing and turning. Also neither of us are finding it hot to sleep on. It weighs 130lbs which is heavy but when it comes to foam beds that weight means it's higher quality/ higher density foam, which should last for years before developing body depressions or becoming overly soft. So, so far so good. Fingers crossed we continue to love this mattress. I will update my review as needed, to let people know how this mattress fares with time.

I am writing this review because I felt the answers to whether it was plush or hard we're very confusing and at odds with one another. So I will put mine and my husband's opinion out there. My husband is quite large and heavy. He has not slept this well in years. I am an average size female and I must sleep elevated and on my side due to physical disorders. We bought the split California King so they can be adjusted individually I was afraid there would not be enough give for me to sleep on my side. I definitely would not consider this hard or very firm, and it's not extremely plush. I would put it at medium firm with enough give for me to sleep comfortably and wake up without terribly aching hips. My husband loves it... No more aches and pains in the morning. The only reason I did not give it five stars it's because of the horrendous chemical smell that a mattress had coming out of the wrapping. I literally couldn't sleep on it for days it was so bad. We've had it about 2 weeks now and the smell is barely discernible with mattress pad and sheet on it.

In my entire life, I have never owned a more perfectly balanced dream mattress combining support and comfort! I have a joint condition that causes near constant pain. This mattress changed my life. Suddenly I don’t even want pillows anymore. I am sleeping like the dead on my back… it’s unreal how much more restorative my sleep has been! I just moved and gave this mattress to my elderly father and he was amazed. I can hardly wait to buy another

First I want to say there is nothing wrong with the quality of the mattress. My issue is that this falls in the firm category and I was looking for something plush. As a side sleeper this fact has caused me excruciating back pain. If you're looking for an inexpensive, quality, firm mattress, this isn't a bad choice. If you want something to sink into after a long day, keep looking. I balanced all of my 220 lbs on the heel of one foot and sank in all of 2 3/4" I of course tried to tough it out and break it in as most mattresses need some time and only succeeded in running past the return date, not that I'm sure how that would work as it expands to about 5x it's shipping size once opened. I've purchased a better, much more expensive mattress locally and will resell this one to someone who will enjoy a firm bed. There was a slight odor as expected when I opened it, left it in the garage for two days and it aired out just fine, no complaints there. I may have gotten a defective one, but I can't even call this medium, it's very firm.

Update: May 21st, so am becoming less and less comfortable as the nights go on. It isn't the bed it's my body readjusting and it hurts but I am confident my body will come around. I am not currently in the best shape because of my illness and I'm also having a flair up. Also was able to take it for a spin with the husband (wink) and it was so much easier to get the job done than with our last mattress. And also I don't wake up in sweat so it really is the perfect cooling mattress. This bed is amazing. My mom owns and Icomfort. I used to go to her house before Covid-19 just to take naps. This bed is better, it's softer but just as supportive and there is less time for the memory foam transition period. It seems to move with me . I have RA and spend a lot more time in bed than the average person. I needed this to be pressure reliving and comfortable which it is. It's firm where it needs to be firm and it's soft and pressure reliving at the same time. I highly recommend and can't wait to go back to sleep tonight.

The mattress is exactly what we wanted. We started off with a complete split king a year ago. The main purpose of a complete split king (two twin xl mattresses side by side on adjustable bed frames) was so that each of our beds could move independently (head and feet can go up and down). However, I didn't like feeling like we were on different beds and in reality it felt like we were only sleeping on twin xl beds vs a king bed. I felt like I had downgraded my bed size from a queen to twins. Also, not sleeping close like before. So I looked into the top split kings and found this mattress. Oh my was it worth the purchase. Not only do I feel like I am sleeping in a real king size bed, sleeping closer together and able to raise our heads independently...the mattress is so comfortable. I've slept so good in this bed that I am mad it took so long to purchase. The bed is not too soft and not too firm. 14.5 inches is thick FYI. It didn't take long to rise. I love the zipper cover so it can be washed. It keeps me cool at night. And bonus we don't have this huge crack separating us all night. Oh and did I mention how affordable this mattress was compared to shopping at the store. This same mattress size and type can cost in excess of $2,000.00. Great buy at under $700! This mattress is just perfect!
