Action packed
Blown was a great read full of non-stop action. It did bounce around to several different locations which sometimes seemed quite distant to get to within the allotted time mentioned but that actually kept the story moving along quite nicely. I really liked Gregg Kaplan's character. He certainly knows how to get into more than his share of trouble. His interaction with the local police and a!l the other government bureaus such as the CIA, FBI, WITSEC, and many others with too many acronyms to remember made it very interesting even though I couldn't always remember who they were. Kaplan doesn't have too many friends because of his undercover work but those he does have are loyal to him such is life as Delta force. He certainly knows how to get into some really tough situations and can almost always get out of them, sometimes with a little help. Tony, the old man, was quite the character and I couldn't always tell if he was the good guy off the bad guy. You'll have to read it to find out. There always seems to be a lot of corruption in these stories and this one also had some very different characters, good and bad.I didn't want to out this book down as the action, the people, and the places they were in changed so often. It kept me going right up to the end. A great mystery, thriller with excellent writing and story line. Loved it. Thank you Chuck Barrett.

A great book with an awesome new action character for action/thriller fans
If you're looking for a good action/thriller then this book is what you're looking for.A very dangerous man, searching for answers, stops to have breakfast in a place he shouldn't be, and walks into a situation that will alter the course of several people's lives.A group with everything to lose is hunting down a rat. The rat just happens to be in the custody of the US Marshalls sitting down for breakfast in a tiny little town on his way to a new identity. The men have specific orders. The rat must die.An encounter that will leave many dead and a oath between former Delta operators.A dark tale of an assassin bonded to a blade that is also the source of his power. A cursed blade that causes him torment until he sedates it's thirst for blood.A master of killing, hiding, and espionage his name send fears into the hearts of all that hear it. He has nor loyalties and will work for anyone that can pay.A deadly man who's own past haunts him. Not his past deeds, he's long since made peace with what he is, it's the last of a past that haunts and tortures him. Who is he? Where did come from? What is he? It's these questions that boil in his soul and unwittingly he takes a job that may just answer some of those questions. He holds a secret. A secret that would be used against him if his enemies find out what it is. A ruthless killer with a heart? Maybe his greatest deception. Killing for money is his life but protecting those that are preyed upon by others is what saves his soul.A very dark tale of death, destruction, and betrayal will lead the assassin on a path that will be told through the annals of time.A departure from my normal reading but very enjoyable reading none the less. Fans of the genre will feel right at home with this book and holds great promise as a series worth following.Gregg Kaplan is not a man that takes an oath lightly especially to another Delta. He will fulfill his promise, even in the face of overwhelming forces.Action packed with a character that you're sure to love and a promising start to a great series.

Superb Action Thriller. My kind of Book.
I happened to find this book on Amazon, bought it and started reading it and couldn't put it down. A great new hero and action series. I can't wait for the next one. Great writer and fantastic editing. I actually picked the book up again by accident and read it again because It kept my interest and I couldn't put it down. I found two glaring errors though, only knowable because I live in the area. First, Dandridge is off I-40 west of the beginning of I-81 and is a quaint small town in Jefferson County, and I-81 begins at exit 421 on I-40 which is about 30 miles East of Knoxville, Tn. It does not begin in Knoxville or even in Knox County. Other than that I loved the book and recommend it to all thriller readers.

Great author
Enjoyed reading your book, had a hard time putting it down. Very well written which is amazing when I consider that there are no bad language its or steamy sex involved. Instead the author depended on a good story and the telling of it! I am glad I happened on this author's work. I will be following his other books. Quite a talent!

Wow! What a great story!
Blown was discovered to be very interesting from the first page! Exciting, suspenseful, with characters that kept me wondering what would happen next. BLOWN provided a good look into the world of WITSEC and the life of former a Delta Forces "ghost" and his dedication to doing the right thing. Reading the story almost straight thru once I began reading as it was almost impossible to lay aside. If you want to be led on a journey of action and adventure, interesting characters, fast paced with the thought that this would be a great movie, then you have found the right book. I highly recommend anything with the author Chuck Barrett listed! He won't disappoint. Thank you Mr. Chuck for a delightful read!!!

Story good, but
This is a good yarn, but I thought it suffered from a lack of reality. Guys having a dialogue in the middle of a pitched gun fight. A main character who takes his promise to ridiculous extremes. It got a little silly to me. The writer has talent, just needs to make things a little more real.
