While I am a tech by trade, this device was still reasonably easy to set up. The intention was to add it to my Alexa-enabled devices. You'll have to download and install a separate app first, to configure this thing. But once you do, the Alexa app finds it and adds it to the roster. So you can turn whatever you have plugged into it on or off remotely, via the app on your phone. Or, you can ask Alexa to do it - which is AWESOME. We have two of these controlling our back patio strings of lights. Note that each one of these outlet extension remotes sports TWO outlets. So you can plug two devices in at the same time. Very handy. Highly recommend.

Does exactly what it says it will do. Works with app really well. I bought it to control outdoor pergola lights so I wouldn’t have to move furniture to plug/unplug all the time.

I like this device. Pretty cool what it can do. However, lately it's hasn't been powering on when it supposed to. I have to refresh the app then it fires up. A big drag for a fountain.

Terrible product. Can't get it to connect to WiFi. I am returning it the same day I received it. Don't buy this product.

At beginning it works very well. But it can not be reconnected after disconnecting.

This unit was difficult to set up and pair with wifi. After two weeks disconnected and have not been able to pair again. Recommend looking for products that have good reviews and are especially designed for Alexa.

Can't get this to program. :(
