Do not recommend
I would not recommend working with this seller. There was a shipping issue and I I wasn’t going to receive in time for Christmas so I had to buy a second one. Long story short, they are having me ship the rather large box at my expense. So, if you’re not happy with it, be aware that the returns with the seller are not like the usual Amazon return. You will be wrapping it and paying for the shipping. Also, the Troxel helmet we got in its place seems better quality and it’s more comfortable for my son.

Cheaply made
Inexpensive, looks good but cheaply made. The visor is thin plastic that is attached. Kids will have a tendency to break it off especially if dropped. I can push and depress The outer shell with my finger.I am concerned that there would not be much protection if my great-granddaughter where to come off of her 16 hands high horse. My opinion is that you should spend the extra $15 and get a quality helmet.Items was returned, I had to pay for shipping. Three weeks have passed since the vendor received the returned item (per UPS) but I have not yet received credit. I would hesitate doing any further business with this vendor.

This helmet is really nice and fits our 6 yr old son perfect
This helmet is really nice and fits our 6 yr old son perfect! It adjust which is great as it can grow with him or if your riding in the winter you can add a light weight hat underneath and it will still fit well. We have always used Troxell and had a hard time finding one that would fit his head but, this Equi-Lite fits great. I think I would like to have one for myself as it feels comfortable and looks great on. Low profile, not all bulky yet still providing the protection that is needed of it. We purchased the blue and it is very nice. Good looking helmet.

Basic
Very basic. Built like a Walmart bike helmet but shaped like equestrian helmets. I wish the blue was brighter. It's just very bland. Does it's job though and my little guy doesn't think 2x about putting it on.

Fits great!
I got the size small for my 2 year old almost 3. It went down small enough for his head and has plenty of room to grow. It’s super lightweight. It literally has foam on edges so I would say store it someplace safe or can be easily destroyed. I wish it came with a bag but I used one of my own for it. Only thing I’d suggest is a Velcro wrap to keep the straps up from bugging him but it does have the rubber band thing to try to loop them in and out with.

Lasted less than a month
We bought one of these for our daughter for camp this summer. It is a simple styrofoam helmet with an adjustable plastic strap that tightens to the head. The halo is only the back of the head - it doesn't go around the entire head. It basically pulls the helmet backward so the front styrofoam is secured against the forehead. This strapis held into the styrofoam with small plastic tabs. She wore it less than 10 times and the tightening strap tabs pulled out of the styrofoam and the helmet is now useless. We bought it back in spring even though she was not going to camp until June - thus it's not returnable, and I can't find a way to complain to Amazon on the order page. Therefore, a review is all I have. The overall quality is poor. It is really just a cheap bicycle helmet that shouldn't cost more than about $15. BUT - what price do you want to put on your kid's head. The camp has had several experienced riders fall off horses this summer, so I imagine it happens frequently. I decided that my child's health is more important than the $25-$50 you will save buying this helmet. Please consider one of higher quality before you decide on a helmet.

Saved my daughter!
I got this for my 9 year old to learn to ride her quarter pony. On the first use, the pony tripped and threw my daughter straight off the front, she flew forward and landed directly on the top of her head. Scared me to death! My daughter had some neck pain, but no fractures or anything else. I am so glad we put a helmet on her, and glad this one did its job and protected her from this impact. I of course had to order another one since you aren't supposed to use them after they've had an impact. Hopefully we won't need another one any time soon.

The very answer to my unique Helmet search!!
This was exactly what I was looking for and what I needed. I purchased a new Scooter just recently. I have a really bad neck and back, so I needed some sort of Specialty Helmet that was ultra light. I am a little concerned that the protection won't be AS good as heavier materials, but it should be okay. (I've read good things on the safety of these). The other Reviewers were right, the dial system in the back is really great. The Helmet really covers the top half of your head, so it makes it a little more difficult to get in on secure, if it weren't for the Dial. It's nice b/c there are multiple settings, so you can get the fit down to darn perfect. And the strap, I just love! You can always adjust it, but having that Clip (to quickly & easily secure it on and to take it off) is the only way to go, IMO. I mostly do short little errands on my "Scoot", so having to deal with those Loop closures on other Helmets, gets really old quick. The other thing I like is that this Helmet fits comfortably in the storage compartment under the seat. So I don't have to utilize the little back Trunk Storage, or have to carry my Helmet.I recommmend.
